Hosting a birthday party, planning a casual wedding affair or organising a corporate event for the office?  With its good selection of Australasian fare, as well as a lovely indoor and alfresco setting, Café Melba at Mediapolis is top on our list as the perfect party venue for all kinds of celebrations. We line up three reasons to book the Australasian-style resto for your next gathering – read on!

#1 Cosy and modern interiors with tons of space

Open daily from 8am to 10pm – including on weekends and public holidays – Café Melba at Mediapolis offers a relaxing respite from busy city life. The 150-seater cafe is super spacious, boasting high ceilings and wooden furniture for a cosy touch. Known for being the venue of choice for many kinds of events – corporate meetings, dinner parties, weddings and birthday celebrations – the restaurant is equally ideal for unwinding with a glass of wine while chatting with friends.  If you’re looking a non-conventional and intimate wedding, a brunch party or dinner gathering at this café would be a great option. Plus, if you’re celebrating in the day, you’ll get tons of natural light, which makes for the best photos! Thinking of having it outdoors? There’s also large alfresco dining area that looks out to a vast outdoor garden, making it perfect for windy evening soirées.

#2 Delicious grub for everyone

Café Melba offers a range of event packages suitable for different types of gatherings. An office get-together or corporate function wouldn’t be complete without canapés; from vegetarian options like bite-sized mediterranean pizza and house-made ricotta crostini, to meaty bites like smoked teriyaki bacon slider, there’s definitely something for everyone.

For a heartier affair, Café Melba offers buffet packages that you can customise to your crowd’s preferences. Choose from a great range of salads, the restaurant’s signature thin crusted stone fired pizza, mains, pastas and desserts. Start with a tasty duck confit salad, then tuck into the flavourful tandoori chicken pizza. You can also opt for exquisite Asian dishes (we’re eyeing the beef rendang), or go for Western grub like the kid-friendly herb roasted chicken with black pepper sauce, home roasted vegetables. Don’t forget to add on a dessert, too; on offer are various cakes and pastries including the popular chocolate praline tart and assorted macarons.  Then, wash it all down with some beverages – keep it clean with chilled juices and soft drinks, or make your celebration extra special with vino and beer.

Psst… Want to save money? Have your party on a weekday as that’s when buffet prices are slightly cheaper!

#3 Themed birthday parties for the kids

Throwing a birthday party for the little one? Parties can be tailored to your kiddo’s liking; deck out the celebration table with their favourite theme in mind, and invite some friends over for a time of good grub and fun. On weekends and public holidays, kids get to play in the bouncy castle, or you can organise some birthday games at the big outdoor space right outside, while the adults enjoy quality time chit-chatting over drinks. There’s also a special events package for kids parties, and those under the age of four eat free on the event!
