Looking for restaurants near Tanjong Pagar or Raffles Place? Cygnet bar and grill restaurant at QT Singapore is just across the lane from Lau Pa Sat and has a great brunch, bottomless steak frites, $1 oysters and Sunday martinis. Read on for more details!
#1 Brunch, any day of the week
Cygnet is open seven days a week and has just launched a new all-day dining menu with a line-up of brunch favourites. The menu makes it easy to find something you’ll love – a Sunrise Bowl with strawberry and rhubarb compote and coconut yoghurt if you want something lighter, or an artisanal steak pie with slow-cooked beef if you’re hungry. The avo sourdough toast is also there, with poached eggs, feta and pistachio dukkah.
Coffee is taken seriously, too, with beans from Margaret River Roasting Co., alongside a few flashier options like a Nutella and hazelnut blend or an iced coffee with a crème brûlée-style top – a nod to that laid-back Aussie café culture.
#2 Steak Frites, c’est tout!
In the evening, Cygnet’s menu switches to bottomless Steak Frites – and that’s exactly what you get! Choose from a classic cut, Argentinian ribeye ($78) or ÅŒmi wagyu, and enjoy unlimited steak and fries. Prices start at $48, going up to $108 for the wagyu.
There are $1 oysters available too, and Moët & Chandon Champagne by the glass ($18) or bottle ($98) if you feel like it. It’s available Monday to Saturday from 5.30pm, with a two-hour sitting.
#3 Sundays, $1 oysters and martinis at Cygnet
Prefer to keep Sundays a bit open? From 5pm to midnight, Cygnet Sundays is set up for just dropping in rather than locking something in days ahead. Expect $15 martinis, $1 oysters and a rotating selection of bar bites.
The martinis use Archie Rose Distilling Co. gin and come in a few styles – classic, citrus-led and dirty. From 5pm, there’s also a more substantial menu if you feel like staying on, including the New York burger and spaghetti alle vongole.
Cygnet bar and grill restaurant is open on public holidays, too.
