Looking for restaurants in Raffles Place for client meetings, after-work drinks or dinner with a view? Set on levels 62 to 64 of Republic Plaza, Tower Club Singapore is a private members club in the CBD with several dining venues, including Straits Bar, plus skyline views across Marina Bay. While it’s well known as a business networking destination, it’s also a place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Here’s what to expect from the club’s dining venues.
#1 Start with breakfast at Atlantic
Located on Level 62, this club restaurant offers a weekday breakfast menu that has recently expanded to include à la carte dishes, American and Continental breakfast sets, along with local staples such as kaya toast, local coffee and soft-boiled eggs.
The restaurant is also drawing members back later in the day thanks to its ongoing Flintstone Cut Tomahawk Steak promotion. Available at dinner, the 1.3kg tomahawk is designed for sharing between two to four guests and is priced at $99, with a choice of sauces and optional premium sides at $8 each.
Add a promotional pairing featuring Domenico Clerico Barolo 2019 at $98 per bottle, and it’s easy to see why Atlantic remains a favourite among members of Tower Club Singapore.
#2 Stay for lunch or dinner at Ba Xian
This Cantonese restaurant on Level 63 features a main dining room and private dining spaces that work equally well for business lunches, family gatherings and special occasions. One dish that regularly appears on members’ tables is the Peking Duck. The crispy skin is wrapped in delicate pancakes, while the duck meat can be prepared in a choice of styles at no extra charge – from lettuce wraps and braised ee-fu noodles to fried rice, spring onion and ginger, or Kung-Pao-style.
Dim sum is another regular draw for Tower Club Singapore members, particularly the Saturday Afternoon Dim Sum offering. Served from 11.30am to 2.30pm, the menu includes favourites such as Har Kow and Fried Carrot Cake in XO Sauce, alongside champagne by the glass or bottle.
#3 End the day at Tower Club Singapore’s Straits Bar
Perched up on Level 64, Straits Bar looks across the South China Sea and offers a more relaxed side of club life. The menu covers local and Western favourites, while afternoon tea for two includes Bacha Coffee and skyline views. There’s also a dedicated cigar room and a wide whisky selection.
Happy hour (Monday to Saturday, 5pm to 8pm) and live music from Mondays to Fridays give Straits Bar an after-hours pull, while Saturday’s à la carte lunches and seasonal dishes – including the signature Lamb Shank Masala with Tomato Rice available in August – make Straits Bar more than just a place for sunset drinks.
