Fat Cow – Some of the best Japanese wagyu steaks in Singapore
Wagyu is the star at Fat Cow, with an extensive selection of cuts alongside omakase menus, sake and whisky. If you’re looking for some of the best steaks in Singapore, this contemporary Japanese steakhouse is one to consider, whether for a client meal, dinner for two or a celebration.
Fat Cow’s à la carte menu gives wagyu fans plenty of steak cuts to choose from, including two that aren’t commonly found in Singapore: Tankaku A Grade and Shiretoko A5. Each brings a different flavour and texture to the table, and both are priced at $108 per steak. If you’d rather leave the choices to the chef, the Wagyu Omakase offers a seasonal menu featuring wagyu alongside other Japanese dishes. It’s priced at $178 or $238 and is available for lunch and dinner, with a curated sake and whisky list to choose from.
Fat Cow is open daily, with lunch from 12pm and dinner seatings at 6pm and 8pm.
Good to know: New to Japanese wagyu? A5 is the highest grade awarded under Japan’s beef grading system, taking into account marbling, colour, texture and fat quality.

Bedrock Bar & Grill – Best steaks in Singapore for sharing
Some of the best steaks in Singapore are cooked over an open flame. In the heart of Somerset, Bedrock Bar & Grill has been serving steaks since 2008, cooked over its signature applewood-fire grill. The restaurant was also among the first in Singapore to introduce large-format meats for sharing, so bring a few friends if you want to tackle one of the bigger cuts.
The Tomahawk Steak is one of its best-known dishes – a grain-fed wagyu long bone-in ribeye cooked over applewood fire. There’s also the 1kg Double-cut Dry-aged Porterhouse ($248), or the Bedrock Pepper Steak ($118 for 280g), a 350-day grain-fed wagyu ribeye. Steaks and chops are served with red wine sauce, chilli oil, béarnaise and wholegrain whisky mustard.
Don’t overlook the sides. Bedrock Mac N’ Cheese ($25) combines four cheeses with truffle oil under a crisp cheese crust and has become one of the restaurant’s longstanding favourites. And if you have room for dessert, the Bombe Alaska ($28) brings a little theatre to the table, with raspberry white chocolate ice cream and butter cookies covered in meringue and flambéed with rum.
Whisky drinkers have more than 70 rare and old labels to choose from, sourced from Scotland to Japan, along with seasonal Whisky Trails and cocktails.
Good to know: Monday is BYO wine night, when you can bring up to four 750ml bottles of wine per table – a good excuse to open a bottle you’ve been saving.

For steak, choices include the Japanese Aged Keisan Wagyu Striploin ($158 for 250g), alongside Bedrock favourites such as the Dry-Aged Ribeye ($108 for 280g) and Bedrock Pepper Steak ($118 for 280g).
The seafood here gets just as much attention as the steaks. Specialities include the Aged Barramundi Tail ($88, serves 2-3) with chilli, herbs and lemon, 9-Day Aged Swordfish ($62) with braised leek, pickled pepper and red wine syrup and Origin’s Fish Pie ($58), snapper loin with fish velouté, asparagus and truffle oil.
There are lighter choices too, including plant-based dishes, plus close to 100 wine labels and a selection of whiskies and cocktails. The setting fits the Sentosa location, with a patio surrounded by tropical greenery and both shaded and alfresco seating.
