Setting sail and making memories
Organised by Yacht Bookings Singapore, our adventure involved sailing to Eagle Bay at Lazarus Island and cruising along to see the city lights at sunset. There was plenty of fun throughout the relaxing afternoon on the water. Highlights included kayaking at sunset and trying out the underwater scooter. Meanwhile, the charcuterie board was laid out, glasses were filled with bubbles and a festive feast prepared.

“I love a day out on the water, so I’ve been on quite a few boat cruises in Singapore over the years. What I loved about this one was that the yacht was modern, with chic rooftop seats and loungers for basking in the sun. You can also escape the heat in the nice air-conditioned seating area indoors. My favourite moment of the day (aside from the cruise home taking in the Singapore skyline) was relaxing out on the huge floating mat with a glass of wine. I’d love to come back with my kids for a turn on the kayaks and underwater scooter (guided by the friendly staff). Expect hours and hours of fun!” – Georgina

Renting a yacht in Singapore
Organising the experience with Yacht Bookings Singapore was very easy. We browsed through the yachts listed on their website, found one we liked and selected “enquiry”. Very quickly the team got back to us ready to discuss what inclusions, add-ons and water activities we would be interested in.
We chose to rent the Yacht Dakota and decided to bring our own catering. This included delicious platters from The Plattering Company and wine from Cloudy Bay. Yacht Bookings Singapore provided the ice, water, plates, cups and cutlery, making this option so easy. Next time, we would definitely consider renting the barbecue pit with a cooking service – and bringing our pets on board too!
On the day, we met the team at the central meeting point and were escorted to the yacht. The staff were professional and ran things smoothly; they had ensured all arrangements were in place based on our agreement. It couldn’t have been an easier or more relaxing experience knowing we were well looked after from start to finish.
Our yacht booking
The Yacht Dakota is all about sleek style and catamaran glam. This gorgeous vessel is designed for cruising and circumnavigations, and with all the bells and whistles on board, it’s also ideal for entertaining in comfort out on the ocean.
The team made use of the huge open-plan cockpit and expansive decks throughout the day, and for overnight stays the yacht boasts comfy cabins with an ensuite bath and AC.
The Yacht Dakota is a great option for a memorable event, with all the entertainment facilities you would want on board. There are Bluetooth speakers, internet access, water and ice machines, barbecues and ovens. Catering is also available upon request.
That’s not all! The boat also has plenty of activities and watersports available to try. Enjoy the underwater scooter, paddle boards, kayaks, fishing, badminton, beach volleyball and snorkelling equipment.
