Marathons & running events – are you ready?

One great way to stay fit when living in Singapore is to take advantage of the countless running events both on the island and abroad. There are so many to choose from, from themed fun runs and runs for kids, to full-fledged marathons and triathlons (even aquathlons!). Whether you’re a newbie to races or a running enthusiast, it’s a great way to keep fit and see some of the wonderful sights this region has to offer. Note: some registration dates are closing soon, so get your entry confirmed today!

Metasprint Series Duathlon

Participate individually or as a team. With a run-bike-run format, the race also has distances just for the little ones.

Supersports 10 Mile International Run Thailand 2020 – Hatyai

Head to Thailand in March for the Supersports 10 Mile International Run. There are three distances to choose from: three, five and 10 miles.

Miri Marathon

Head to Sarawak and take part in the Miri marathon this year. There are three distances: 10km, 21km and 42km.

Tour de Bintan

At this bike race, take your pick from various distances, from 17km to 140km.

Forest Force 50

Back for its 2nd edition, the race has three trail race routes: 15km, 25km and 50km.

Safari Zoo Run

Back for its 12 edition, the event has both competitive and non-competitive runs, from 2km to 12 km distances.

Bedok Reservoir Ultramarathon

Back for its eighth edition, the race consists of a 4.3km route around the reservoir.

2XU Compression Run

The race is back for its 10th edition in April. Take your pick from 5km, 10km and 21.1km distances. Runners can enjoy F&B and entertainment at the race village.

Star Wars Virtual Run

Participants can choose to pledge their allegiance to the Light or Dark side. Choose run 5.4 kilometres or 40 kilometres. You can clock your distances anywhere, from the treadmills at your gym to running paths in your neighbourhood. Download the MOVE Run Tracker app to participate.

OSIM Sundown Marathon

Challenge yourself with a 21.1km marathon or 42.195km full marathon. There are also shorter distances such as the 5km fun run, 10km individual race or 10km team challenge.

Supersports 10 Mile International Run Thailand 2020 – Bangkok

Head to Thailand in March for the Supersports 10 Mile International Run. There are two distances to choose from: five and 10 miles.

Laguna Phuket Marathon

Head to Thailand for the annual Phuket marathon. There are a couple of categories on offer: marathon, marathon relay, half-marathon, 10.5km, 5km and a 2km kids run.

Gold Coast Marathon 2020

The international marathon offers eight races including the Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gold Coast Marathon, Wheelchair Marathon, ASICS Half Marathon, Wheelchair 15km, Garmin 4 km Junior Dash and Garmin 2 km Junior Dash.

Run for Hope

This charity run aims to raise awareness, funds and support for cancer research. Participants can choose to take part in a 3.5km family walk/run or 10km run.

Ground Zero Run 2020

Organised by Mercy Relief, the run challenges participants to experience a disaster survivor’s journey, from the disaster site to collecting supplies. Choose from a 5km and 10 km race. There’s also a kids dash for young ones.

Serengeti Girls Run

Held in partnership with Singita’s non-profit fund Grumeti Fund, this three-day 63 km run will allow runners to encounter wildlife and scenery as they cover 21 km each day.

Bright Vision Hospital Charity Walk

With the aim to raise $250,000 to support patients, participants will walk 3.8km and participate in fun challenges inspired by the Korean Running Man variety show.
