Your Horoscopes for the Month of January!

1st January 2021 by Expat Living 5 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/free-monthly-horoscopes-tarot-forecast/

Whether or not you believe in the stars, horoscopes or astrology, monthly forecasts usually resonate in some way. Our regular star-sign forecasts by Sharan (tarotbysharan.com) are actually based on tarot, so they’re a little bit different. We’ve been a fan of Sharan for years, so, if you’re in need of a little guidance, she might just be the card for you!

horoscope ball

Capricorn(22 Dec – 19 Jan)

You are in the best place you could ever ask for in terms of career success and financial freedom. However, all this success has brought about envy and competition that has made you rather disappointed. It’s brought you to a place in your life where you are now questioning what is honest and what is fake. The lines have blurred in the throes of your success. There is a need to get your perspectives right. Be open-minded and welcome competition instead of feeling insecure. It’s a good way of seeing what others have thought about that you missed out on; pick on ideas that you can take and use for yourself to grow. Competition is always healthy – without it, we’ll never grow.

Aquarius (20 Jan – 18 Feb)

Not thinking through your actions thoroughly could turn out to be a very bad downfall for you this month. Money is always a motivating factor but you need to be careful when it comes to communication. You’re very good at arguing your point, so prepare your argument well if you find yourself in such a situation. The key is to be meticulous and methodical. The pressure is on. And you are being observed on how you manage the pressure to deliver what you have promised.

Pisces (19 Feb – 20 Mar)

You experience the demise of a creative idea this month, just because of the opposition you are receiving all around. However, instead of playing the victim or giving up completely on your vision, revisit the drawing board. Cast your visions further afield for inspiration. Try and try till you get it right. You may not always be well received by everyone. But perhaps you need to trust your instincts on this one and rely less on others’ opinions.

Aries (21 Mar – 19 Apr)

You need to make some changes this month if you want to achieve results quickly. Let go of the mindset where you feel you’re incapable because you lack knowledge. It’s always possible to teach an old dog new tricks – so never say never! If you’ve never dabbled with stocks and shares, for example, it doesn’t mean you should never get into it. You can always pick up some tricks of the trade. The key is never to be afraid of the unknown. Lay out a plan and be methodical and detailed, and you should be on your way to achieving your goals.

Taurus (20 Apr – 20 May)

A change of direction is needed this January. Work out what your priorities are and work on laying out some long-term plans. There are some things where you just can’t expect quick wins. The results won’t last. Take the time to lay out a meticulous plan. No more shortcuts. Face the nemesis and do not run and hide or push it to someone else to deal with it. Remember, it won’t be the last time you’ll be faced with this situation if you decide to avoid it this time.

Gemini (21 May – 20 Jun)

January is looking like quite a stressful month for Gemini. You may find yourself carrying more responsibility than you signed up for. If you’re a new parent, you may be feeling overwhelmed by this new-found responsibility so much that it’s making you want to escape your current position. You may also become a carer when something unexpected happens to a loved one. Or you may just be feeling dissatisfied with your career because the amount of responsibility is outweighing your compensation. The natural instinct is to run and hide to escape your situation. But you need to apply a more logical approach to your situation rather than an emotional one if you’re going to work around your stress this month.

Cancer (21 Jun – 22 Jul)

It’s time for family, togetherness and security this month. If things have become unpleasant with family or people that you deeply care about from your past, you’ll find these relationships entering a time of healing. It must, however, begin with you taking the first step towards this healing process. You may have avoided this in the past for fear of you not being in control of the other party’s reaction. But it feels like it’s going to be now or never. Establishing and maintaining harmony will be one of your goals in 2021.

Leo (23 Jul – 22 Aug)

You have a choice or a decision to make around your work this January. The work environment is turning competitive. It could even turn toxic when your colleagues begin to turn against you or begin to feel jealous of your promotion or praise. You may begin to feel excluded from the work environment as a result. You could choose to ignore the situation and let them carry on with their sour grapes attitude. If things are too much for you to take, then you can make the decision to move on. The ball is in your court, really. You create the situation you want to see happen in your life.

Virgo (23 Aug – 22 Sep)

January will feel like the calm after a storm. There are many directions to take. But don’t get too overwhelmed with choices. Remember to have your feet on the ground. It can be easy to get carried away. Go with what you stand for and what your beliefs are. You need to think about the long-term repercussions of making the decisions you need to make this month. It’s not something that can be rushed. You need time to weigh the pros and cons.

Libra (23 Sep – 22 Oct)

It looks like there is a pleasant surprise lurking around this January. For some time, you’ve been facing disagreements that you haven’t been sure how to deal with. There is a lesson to be learnt in all of this, which will become obvious this month, and that is to practise empathy rather than applying logic. Sometimes, all people really want is to be heard and understood, even though their arguments may not be valid. Just the act of making them feel like what they have to say matters. So, tune into their emotions rather than approaching things in a cold and logical manner. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how the dynamics of the relationship move away from being aggressive to being calmer.

Scorpio (23 Oct – 21 Nov)

It’s a great month to be embarking on new projects. You’re in a month when anything you take up will most likely lead to success. However, try not to get ahead of yourself. Take time to pause and reflect rather than jumping into things without thinking it through. There will be a tendency this month to charge ahead with that fire in your belly. Hold on before you do. Do your research and trust your intuition at all times, especially when things don’t make logical sense.

Sagittarius (22 Nov – 21 Dec)

The start of 2021 calls for patience and moderation. Time will be spent on reflecting on past conflicts. It’s time to reopen the doors to your heart. Move on from relationships that you feel cannot be mended or make an attempt to be the bigger person to try to nip things in the bud. The goal for the year ahead is to lead a more calm and balanced life. So you begin by moving forward this month by managing your temperament and emotions with past grievances.

Guys: did you know that your skin is structurally different from that of ladies? For most men, androgen (testosterone) stimulation results in skin that’s thicker and tougher than women’s skin. This also means you might need something more than just your wife’s, mum’s or sister’s moisturiser or face wash!

Lumin was founded on this concept; this California-based online store offers simple yet effective skincare for men, tailored to different skin types and concerns. So, whether you’re looking for a good face cleanser or a moisturiser for men, this is one brand to check out.

To differentiate Lumin from other men’s skincare brands, founders Richard Hong and Darwish Gani flew to South Korea to work on formulas that benefit the thicker and more stubborn skin constructs of men. Most of the ingredients used are powerful plant-based extracts like ginger root, rosemary, coffee and shea butter. The paraben-free and cruelty-free brand also makes a point of avoiding unnecessary nasties commonly associated with popular off-the-shelf products.

If it’s your first time shopping for men’s skincare, you’ll be glad to know that the Lumin experience is simple and fuss-free. Just fill out a brief questionnaire and you’ll get a personalised skincare regime that’s suited to your skin type and lifestyle. You can choose to go with a one-time purchase or have your products delivered on a subscription basis. Alternatively, shop from the curated range of skincare sets catered to different budgets and preferences.

The rain and cold winds getting you down? A warm beverage and maybe a good book to snuggle up to might just chase the blues away!

If hot chocolate is too mainstream for you, could we offer up this red velvet alternative? @littlefarms have a wide selection of oat milks, almond milks and soy milk options.

Since it's #Veganuary, we recommend using dairy free milks to recreate this recipe....

2 cups non-dairy milk of choice
4 medjool dates (pitted)
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon beet powder

Add the milk and dates into a saucepan.
Heat, over medium, until it reaches a simmer. Add the warm milk with the dates and the remaining ingredients into a high speed blender.
Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Serve and enjoy!
