Mark your calendar for the 14th of May, as that’s when we need to celebrate all mums! Thinking of where to celebrate? We’ve found some of the best restaurants for Mother’s Day in Singapore, whether it’s for a brunch or a set lunch with a Mother’s Day menu. All she has to do is sit back and enjoy!

How about a sake restaurant for Mother’s Day?

This Mother’s Day restaurant offers a gastronomic journey of Japanese-inspired brunch plates. TANOKE, a sake restaurant located along Purvis Street, has a Mother’s Day brunch with a family set menu for four ($238) that comes with brunch favourites such as Egg & Jamon Cheese Sando, Karaage & Waffles and Unagi & Onsen Egg Benedict. A highlight of the menu is Sea & Earth, a platter featuring an Alaskan King Crab Leg, Grilled Asparagus, Umeboshi Buerre Blanc and your choice of meat – from Australian Wagyu MB7 Striploin, A4 Kagoshima Ribeye, A5 Kyushu Tenderloin and more. End your brunch experience with the restaurant’s signature trio of desserts, including Matcha Pannacotta, S’mores Tartlet and Shiso Lychee Sorbet.

For an accompanying beverage, opt for the free-flow of Mimosa-ke. This is TANOKE’s take on the classic mimosa (add-on $18 per person). Also, all mothers receive a complimentary TANOKE Blush cocktail with every order of the set menu.

Alkove’s Mother’s Day menu

Casual French bistro Alkove has a Mother’s Day set available for dine-in on 13 and 14 May. It features all new dishes, including Spiced Whole Chicken served with assorted sausages and butter pilaf rice, Tomato Burrata salad, and a traditional French Seafood Bouillabaisse. Finish off the meal with a Croissant Diplomat Pudding. This bread and butter pudding is made with croissant and served with mixed berries and vanilla ice cream. 

Note that due to the 30-minute wait time for the chicken, pre-booking is encouraged.

Mother’s Day at Yàn

Celebrate the important women in your life with a wholesome meal at Yàn, from 1 to 14 May 2023. Choose from six-course and eight-course menus that showcase an array of communal Cantonese dishes for a fab celebration with mum. A highlight in both set menus is the nourishing Double-boiled Black Chicken Soup with Lingzhi, Fish Maw and Wan Ling. Doubled boiled for six hours, the soup brims with flavours and health benefits derived from the premium ingredients.

The six-course menu also features Steamed Local Lobster with Chinese Wine, and the classic Braised Three Head Abalone with Seasonal Vegetables. And the eight-course menu has the ever-popular Roasted Peking Duck served with Chinese Pancake, Cucumber and Spring Onions. This Cantonese classic impresses everyone with its combination of succulent meat and crispy skin, complemented with house-made crepes and condiments. Both menus end on a sweet note with the charming Sweet Strawberry Cake.

Gary’s Italian restaurant for mother’s day

Pamper mums like they’re royalty with an brunch or dinner at Gary’s. Housed within a charming two-storey black-and-white colonial bungalow at Rochester Park, the contemporary Italian restaurant’s Mother’s Day menu features premium ingredients. We love the sound of the signature Grass-fed Tenderloin, homemade Scallop Linguine and Boston Lobster pasta.

Celebrating the superwoman in our lives, all mums will also get to enjoy a complimentary dessert platter on Gary’s, including a fresh Carnation stalk, for dine-ins from 5 to 7 May and 12 to 14 May only. The celebratory platter features the traditional Italian pistachio parfait, classic Tiramisu and creamy gelato.

Prefer to celebrate at home with the family? Tigerlily Patisserie has gone all out with its Limited Edition Camellia Crown Cake ($62) this Mother’s Day. The cake boasts French Gariguette strawberry compote and camellia tea-infused bavarois, set within a floral cage of sponge fingers, and adorned with vanilla crème madame petals. This unique creation is available to order online till 14 May, and in-store from 12 to 14 May.
