Camps in Singapore – Great things to do in the holidays!

4th March 2023 by Patricea Chow 3 Min Read

When the school break looms, parents often ask, “What are some cool things to do during the holidays?” If you’re looking for camp activities for kids, hear from Camp Asia why there’s a camp for every child from their range of camps including robotics, performance arts, sports camps in Singapore and more. (Plus, read on for a special offer for Expat Living readers when booking!)

What makes camps in Singapore by Camp Asia stand out from the pack?

We’re part of the Cognita Schools Group, which means that our camps are run at Cognita group schools with superb facilities and inherently safe environments. We don’t think any other camp activities provider can match our facilities, as well as the variety and quality of our camps.

We have several anchor camps in Singapore. These include:

  • Multi Activity
  • Parkour
  • Gymnastics
  • Super Chef
  • Multi Adventure
  • Super Basketball
  • Junior Scientist
  • Lego Robotics
  • Passion for Arts
  • Drama Academy

We also introduce new camps frequently. Let’s Dance and Mini Dojo were recently introduced and they’ve gained popularity. You can’t say that your kid can’t find things to do during holiday!

There are lots of things to do on holiday camp. Which camp or camp activities would you recommend?

Depending on the child’s age, we would recommend the Multi Activity or Adventure camps in Singapore. They’re similar but the activities are targeted to different age groups.

The Multi Activity camps are for multi-talented children who are keen to learn new skills and test themselves in a range of disciplines. Children will enjoy an amazing week, jam-packed with an unbeatable variety of camp activities – and excursions too.

Which camp activities at Camp Asia will my kids enjoy the most?

During school holidays, children often find it difficult to form or maintain friendships with peers their own age. At Camp Asia, they have the opportunity to make plenty of new friends from all over the world who are of the same age, while doing varied fun activities.

Additionally, our camp activities are focused on learning in a fun and safe environment. So children won’t just have fun, but they’ll also develop their interests.

Why should parents send their child to Camp Asia?

Each year, approximately 75% of our campers are returning campers. Here are some reasons why parents choose Camp Asia time and again.

  • We have an established programme offering a huge array of quality activities with excellent instructors. Children have an amazing time exploring and learning new skills through the different programmes.
  • Camp Asia is Expat Living Readers’ Choice Gold Winner five years consecutively for best holiday camps in Singapore.
  • It’s a full-day camp that includes meals, and a bus service is also offered at key pick-up locations island-wide.
  • Our camps are well organised and supported by a stellar administrative team who is responsive and quick to assist parents when needed.

This is the first time that my children are attending day camps. What should we be aware of before they turn up?

We have many experiences with first-time children. We would encourage getting them familiar with the idea of going to camp as it calms fears and worries about anything new.

Our camps are suitable for children as young as three years and we have many age-appropriate camp activities that children and parents can choose from so there is something for everyone, regardless of interest.

Camp Asia will send a reminder on a few things that parents need to prepare, such as a packing list and medical/dietary information.

What if my child falls sick after one or two days of camp?

We understand children fall sick from time to time. When a Medical Certificate is produced, we will be happy to offer credit for the outstanding days. Our credits are valid for 12 months and can be used for any future camps in Singapore that we offer.

Any first-aid measures in place?

We have best-in-class practices to ensure children’s medical information and medication is readily available, should it be needed. There is a health centre and there will be two nurses around, always. Additionally, most of our teachers are first-aid certified.
