LG’s New Wireless Headphones – Comfy as!

12th December 2022 by Rebecca Bisset 4 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/best-wireless-headphones-bluetooth-lg-tone-free/

Most people are well and truly in the era of wireless earphones or bluetooth headphones as our companions for on-the-go lifestyles, commuting and workouts. I am slightly behind the curve and handed down mine to my youngest (who had lost hers) because I never used them. I always felt they were going to pop out, and never got the angle quite right – which caused quite a bit of fun for the children.  What angle would mum be wearing them at today!

Anyway I battled on with my old fashioned wires, untangling them as I spoke to people, or trying to. If that failed then I just use speakerphone and talk loudly at it.

LG has released a new Tone FreeTM series that among other things have IP4 waterproof rating. I am not sure why that sounded so appealing – maybe because it rains so often when you’re out walking in Singapore.  So I agreed to try them. The key boasts were high quality audio, an optimised fit and new sound technology, positioning them as one of the best bluetooth headphones available. And I must say I am impressed.

They feel comfortable in my ears, and don’t feel like they can move or pop out. The sound is great, I even had a little bop with them! The nifty little case has a magnet and they seem to know where to go automatically. Another issue with my previous ones is that I could never work out which way they went in to the charger, or what ear was for which. But honestly these ones were a dream.

The noise cancelling angle has it’s pros and cons, it’ll be great for on a plane or in a noisy place. I couldn’t hear my daughter talking.. and would probably not be able to tell if a car was going to run me down when out walking! The tone is great and you do feel totally immersed in the music. So much better than my bluetooth speaker I often listen to when I am working. But if you need to more aware of the outside world switch to the Listening Mode feature, which allows some of the surrounding sound to be heard while wearing the earbuds.

Here’s some more details on them.

How the Tone Free series differs from other wireless headphones

There are three options in the Tone FreeTM series designed to suit your day to day activities, with the Tone Free T90 and Tone Free Fit models LG’s main headliners.

Setting these noise cancelling headphones apart is the plug and wireless design with a new voice chat function. On a treadmill, listening to the radio or connecting to in-flight entertainment? All you need to do is plug in the charging case, with the included cable and your headphones will bluetooth connect to the device connected to the case. So you can enjoy complete wireless freedom in any situation!

The quality hypoallergenic ear gels also reduce the risk of skin irritation. Plus the auto cleaning charging case uses ultraviolet light for thorough sterilisation of your medical-grade earpiece.

The Tone Free T90 model

If you spend hours on phone calls, listening to music or gaming, the LG Tone Free T90 model is the best noise cancelling headphone for you. The T90 is designed to create quality audio with a balanced sound. Compared to other bluetooth headphones, these are the world’s first Dolby wireless earbuds with their Head Tracking technology across the whole range, so even if you are moving around you feel like you are in the centre of the scene.

The Tone Free T90 uses new Snapdragon Sound Technology, renowned for creating a stellar listening experience previously only for wired headphones. Plus a specially designed graphene structure reducing vibrations. The result is a crisp, natural soundscape with consistent tonal balance at any volume.

The upgraded active noise cancellation involves a nuanced filter and advanced algorithm, eradicating feedback and reducing ambient noise for a clearer voice calling experience.

A single charge delivers up to 9 hours of power on the earbuds alone, and up to 29 hours with the charging case.

The Tone Free Fit model

While the T90 may sound all business, the Tone Free Fit is the ideal companion for play. Whether it’s running and mountain biking to training at the gym, this LG tone free model could be the best wireless headphone for you. If you’re like me, you worry about your earbuds falling out during a vigorous workout session or adventure. The Tone Free Fit headphones’ swivel grip technology promises to stay snugly in your ear regardless of the intensity of your activity. At the same time, the lightweight design promotes better air circulation and comfort.

And don’t worry about splashes either. Rain, sweat and dust are no match for these earbuds! The noise cancelling headphone’s are also equipped with the Plug & Wireless feature perfect for a workout on the treadmill.

The Tone Free Fit has a battery life of 10 hours with up to 30 hours when used with the UV nano charging case.

Buy the Tone Free range from the LG official brand store on KrisShop, Lazada, Shopee, as well as authorised retailers and distributors.

So if you are still looking for gift ideas, these wireless headphones will make great presents, even for oldies like me! I think I will spend much of my Christmas holiday making sure mine don’t get taken by the youngies!
