Beloved East Coast café opens a new store in the West

Looking for casual conviviality for your family with all day breakfast, delicious Australasian cuisine and advantageous location? We found a new café just a stone’s throw away from big international schools, snuggled in the vibrant media hub at one-north, offering a serene reprieve from business park surroundings and a well-earned escape from school runs and chores during a hectic day.

New addition to family-friendly cafes and restaurants in Mediapolis, Singapore

The new Café Melba blends influences from Melbourne and Asia for a gourmet yet leisurely dining experience. Its New Zealander Chef Kacey Whaitiri-Roberts gained his wisdom working alongside renowned Chefs like Gordon Ramsay in London and Emmanuel Stroobant in Singapore, and his enticing menu attracts both foodies and families. Much the same as its big sister at East Coast, the new cafe will intrigue bookworms, parents, school kids, and art and music lovers alike with its child-friendly and laid-back atmosphere, enjoyable meals and jam packed events calendar.

All day breakfast
Life is busy in Singapore so an all day breakfast is essential! Alongside the crowd pleaser egg benedict on toasted English muffins, you can expect home made dark caraway with crushed avocado and soft poached egg or choose a Reuben sandwich with freshly toasted dark rye bread with home made sauerkraut and corned beef.

At lunchtime, epicureans will be able to choose from wide range of salads, lovely grilled asparagus and poached egg salad being one of the most popular ones. For something more filling, go for grayfish pasta or the Melba Burger!

And who would not like thin-crusted pizzas? They are best shared anytime together with a pint of beer or a well-chilled glass of wine. The Chef praises their Parma ham and rocket pizza; a hand rolled pizza base paired with tomato and mozzarella, fresh rocket salad and sliced Parma ham.

Nature inspired interior
Enjoy the delicious Australasian dishes in a warm interior designed by award-winning Australian designer Emma Maxwell. Conceived with sustainability in mind, the design celebrates Mother Nature in style. The large glass façade faces a verdant green park that offers a perfect open space for your kids to run off energy after their meals. The handmade copper colored ceiling is made of layers of bespoke recycled metal plates that act as a perfect acoustic baffler, and the handcrafted chairs are upholstered in recycled wool welcoming you to sit back and unwind.
