Let’s talk about stress, baby!

6th May 2021 by Expat Living 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/how-stress-affects-immune-systems/

Scientific studies show that while your immune system is a guard dog that protects you, stress is a vicious tiger. Chasing away this tiger protects you from health problems that even your immunity cannot protect you from. Pankaj Gupta looks at how stress can affect our immune systems.

Why does a large group of the healthiest, strongest humans on the planet – professional American athletes – have a higher rate of positive COVID-19 readings than the general population? Why is stress so high in our safe, utopian country of 5.6 million citizens that 11 million GP appointments are made annually for stress-caused conditions? Meanwhile, many 100-year-olds around the world are in excellent health, smoking and drinking daily, according to Time and Newsweek.

how stress affects immune systems

Stress Beats Immunity

It’s incorrect to assume that a healthy immune system guarantees good health. Stress kills cells of your immune system – your body’s defence system. Even with regular exercise and vitamins, a single stressful episode can quickly attack your immune system and make you a magnet for infections. Stress also causes poor sleep and insomnia. Body pains, fatigue and poor focus brought on by stress can also prevent you from exercising and following a healthy, energetic lifestyle.

Stress also assaults your body in ways your immune system doesn’t defend against – for example, weight gain, migraines, heart disease, acid reflux, acute anxiety, poor confidence and depression. So, strong immunity is really no match for the toxic power of stress.

Becoming stress-free is possible, however, without medicines, exercise, alcohol or online shopping. The first step is to understand that stress, worry and anxiety are the fruits of fear, and fear is simply an emotion. You feel worried when you fear something disappointing like loss or rejection may happen. Scientific emotional healing does have a drug-free answer to this.

You can be stress-free

Imagine the benefits of becoming fearless – no stress, no worries, no fear, no addictions or over-eating. And in their place are high confidence, sound sleep, excellent health and high energy – and therefore stable happiness! A happy, healthy, energetic and confident person is undoubtedly the best boss, employee, mother or lover. Healing your fears naturally shifts you to a happy, confident state and your life becomes better than ever!

On the other hand, if you’re very stressed at work, your performance will decline and that can have a financial and emotional effect on you and your family – which can then increase your stress further.

I’ve helped people in 40 countries over 20 years to achieve this relaxed, confident state permanently with The Pankaj Method®, a fear-reducing healing system that is scientific, energy-based and uses no medicines. You have a choice now, right here in Singapore. You can take an immediate step now to end your never ending cycle of worry, and become healthier, energetic, peaceful and happier, by contacting my office to book an appointment.

Pankaj Gupta is a healer based in Singapore. Visit thepankajmethod.com to see testimonials from his clients who have successfully resolved stress and anxiety, or his YouTube channel to hear from people, including doctors, who’ve been healed of their fears and other supposedly incurable conditions.
