Where to buy kids’ scooters & more

2nd March 2021 by Lindsay Yap 3 Min Read

Scooters are loads of fun – and way cooler than they were when we were young. It’s also a great form of exercise for kids (and a good way to tire them out). If you’re not sure where to buy kids’ scooters in Singapore, here’s a range from White and Black Trading. They have a collection of cool outdoor toys, including Micro scooters, air hoppers, micro bikes and all the gear to go with them!

#1 Micro Scooter – Micro Mini Kick 3-in-1 Deluxe

Who it’s for: 12 months to five years

For your littlest ones, opt for the Micro Mini Kick 3-in-1 Deluxe. It comes with an adjustable handlebar and can carry up to 50 kilograms. This scooter can be pushed along by parents with a removable and adjustable parent handle. It’s also pretty versatile as when you take off the parent handle and add a seat, you’ll get a ride-on.

#2 Mini Micro Scooter – Mini Micro Foldable LED

Who it’s for: Five to 12 years

Kids will love this scooter’s LED wheels that light up as they scoot along! It has a T-bar that’s adjustable so it can “grow” along with your child. There’s a variety of fun colours to choose from, too, including coral, purple and navy. Best of all, it’s equipped with a fuss-free folding mechanism – it can be stored anywhere and is easy to carry when out and about.

#3 Micro Scooter – Micro Sprite Deluxe

Who it’s for: Seven to 12 years

This two-wheeled “big kid” scooter comes with an integrated tube light and reflectors, longer rear brake and extra mud guards. For greater comfort, there are also curved and wider handlebars. It’s also foldable, adjustable and can be easily carried about.

Beyond kids’ scooters ….

#4 Air Hopper

Who it’s for: From 18 months

Delight your kids with this fun ride-on! The ergonomically designed toy comes with an inflatable body and hidden 360-degree wheels. It’s compact, lightweight and doesn’t have any sharp edges. Manufactured by Micro, the Air Hopper is great for both indoor and outdoor use and the air inside can be released for easy storage. Get it in blue or pink.

#5 Micro Balance Bike

Who it’s for: From two years

The Micro Balance Bike is a great option for the early years. It’s a fun way for kids to learn the art of balance. The seat is adjustable for height and is close to the ground so kids can get on and off the bike easily. It also comes with large pneumatic tyres and rubber suspension at the rear for more comfort.

Safety accessories to pair with kids’ scooters!

#1 Helmets

These come in fun, brightly coloured designs that kids will love, including rockets, florals and dinos! They have thick foam padding and an adjustable chin strap. Be sure to get the correct size for your child; measure the circumference of their head for a better fit. You can opt for a matching set that comes with a helmet, bell and light, too.

#2 Knee and elbow pads

Keep your young ones safe from falls with guards for their knees and elbows. Pick up Micro guards – they’re waterproof and come in various sizes for kids aged three and up.

#3 Bells

These bells will come in handy as your children ride along on their scooters. They come in a variety of colours and designs and they can fit any scooter.

#4 Lights

For great safety in the evenings or at night, add on lights to your kids’ scooters. There are also brake lights and tube lights to add to the steering column.
