Timeless Resonance: Maestro Jaap van Zweden & HIMARI
28 June @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

The Evergreen Symphony Orchestra’s (ESO) 2026 international tour begins with a single performance at Esplanade Concert Hall. Led by world-renowned conductor and orchestra builder, Maestro Jaap van Zweden, Timeless Resonance features internationally acclaimed Japanese violin prodigy, HIMARI.
Born in 2011, HIMARI has been described as a once-in-a-generation talent. She has captured the attention of the classical music world with incredible technique, playful and imaginative interpretations and emotional depth.
The performance opens with Sibelius’s Violin Concerto in D minor – a work celebrated for its symphonic depth that captures the evocative, icy temperament of the Scandinavian peninsula. The second half of Timeless Resonance features an exploration of Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.
