How is post-renovation cleaning different from regular cleaning services?
Regular cleaning is more of a general maintenance of a house while post-renovation cleaning is much more intensive. Renovation dust is extremely fine and tends to settle into hidden corners, cabinets, surfaces and even air-conditioning vents.
So, unlike regular cleaning, post-renovation cleaning focuses heavily on detailed dust removal. It includes deep cleaning of newly installed carpentry, floors and hard-to-reach areas. The window tracks and grills will be cleaned with pressure steam

My contractor is cleaning my home before handing the unit back to me. Why do I still need a professional post-renovation clean?
Cleaning by a contractor and professional post-renovation cleaning are usually very different in scope and standards. Contractor clean-ups are often very brief. They may clear larger debris, and remove paint, cement and mortar stains with specialised chemicals for different surface types. However, most fine renovation dust and residue buildup will remain hidden throughout the home.
A post-renovation cleaning session is a lot more comprehensive. It focuses on detailed dust extraction, surface cleaning and preparing the space to be properly move-in ready.
I already have a weekly cleaning service. Why do I need a moving-out cleaning session when my lease ends?
End-of-tenancy cleaning is designed to prepare the unit for handover or inspection. Having a place that meets move-in conditions also ensures that you receive your full deposit back.
A moving out cleaning involves a more detailed and comprehensive approach to deep-cleaning areas that are usually overlooked during day-to-day maintenance. This may include inside cabinets and drawers, kitchen grease removal, bathroom descaling, detailed floor cleaning, and steam cleaning of window tracks and grills.
Before a moving-out cleaning session, there’s a mandatory initial walkthrough. There’s also a final inspection at the end of the session. The aim is to restore the unit to a clean and well-maintained condition that’s up to standard for landlords, agents or new occupants.
What do I need to do before the cleaner arrives?
In most cases, there’s minimal preparation needed before a post-renovation cleaning or moving-out cleaning session. The Be Mitey Clean team will advise accordingly, depending on the service booked.
For post-renovation cleaning, it’s best if renovation works are fully completed beforehand. This ensures that dust doesn’t continue settling after the cleaning session.

For every cleaning session, there’s a minimum of three trained in-house members, one being a supervisor who is the liaison that manages the team. Smaller projects may take about four to five hours depending on the severity of cleaning. Larger properties can take a full day or longer.
