The GUILD Makerspace is the inaugural community day by The GUILD International College. Held over three Saturdays on 27 November amd 4 and 11 December, the event will be held on the lush green campus grounds of Phoenix Park making it an ideal fun family outing on a weekend.
Visitors can purchase crafts, home décor items, gift hampers, plants and delicious treats. There will also be kids activities including introductory woodworking, art lessons, and gardening classes and a live DJ to keep guests entertained.
The GUILD Makerspace was designed as a safe space for students of the college to share their talents and develop business skills in a real world environment. The series of events aims to give students practical experience, and learn how they can craft and showcase their own unique creations which will be sold at The GUILD Shop.
The GUILD International College founder, Jayne Nadarajoo remarked, “The GUILD Makerspace is our first community market to showcase the works of all who support inclusion, diversity and sustainability. This event series will also serve as an important annual activity to provide entrepreneurship training for our students as they plan and launch their first business, The GUILD Shop.”
