Here, we get to peek inside the fabulous handbags of Jacquie Hourihane and Emily Greally, the dynamic duo and good friends who cofounded boutique at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove, Cove Collection!
Emily and Jacquie’s go-to handbags: from chic totes to leather shoppers
It would be no exaggeration to say that ladies carry their worlds in their bags. “Our handbags have to be multifunctional when weʼre at work,” say Emily and Jacquie. “Like many women, we carry all our usual necessities as well as notebooks, iPads, laptops, and more.”
Naturally, they turn to their boutique Cove Collection for stylish options, including their in-house tote bags as well as Desti Saintʼs fabulous leather shoppers.
“Weʼre loving the ‘Bessie’ by Desti Saint right now. The gorgeous Italian metallic leather has just the right amount of glitz for that wow factor, and the fact that itʼs strong while still looking pretty is a huge plus for us. Another favourite is the Hand Etched Envelope leather clutch. We love that Desti Saint has all her handbags manufactured in small runs in factories that uphold her values of ethics and social responsibility. This way, we know that the bags we carry have helped local employees and economies. The fact that weʼll never see hundreds of them around is a bonus!”

“We always have our water bottles – essential with the humidity outside and the air-con in the hotel! Our bottles are from Livac Designs. They’re the perfect size, have a carry handle and a drinking spout with a straw inside. Adorned with Singapore imagery, these make us smile, and are always a talking point when we have them on our desk. We also have a wide range of Livac Designs’ items in store, ranging from posters to drinks coasters. Each one is designed by the lovely lady behind Livac, who is a graphic designer by trade. Her art really does have a style for everyone. Her fabulous Singapore and Sentosa posters are bestsellers in our store!”
