Christmas may still be subdued this year, but there are still plenty of Christmas events (some virtual) to get you into the festive mood and keep hope alive! From admiring the annual light-up at Orchard Road to doing last-minute Christmas shopping, here are some ways to have a fun Christmas in Singapore.
Orchard Road Light-up
This annual Christmas light-up is one of the longest, grandest festive lighting displays in Singapore, so be sure to set aside some time to admire it. It does seem a little monotone this year, but still impressive.
This year, you can enjoy the display in person or virtually! From November 1 until 2 January 2022, feast your eyes on a 3.1-kilometre stretch of lights and decorations from Tanglin Mall all the way to Plaza Singapura. The highlight is a shimmering arch adorned with huge red, white and gold poinsettias with a Christmas tree decor at the Orchard Road and Scotts Road junction. The virtual 360-degree tour can be accessed both in Singapore and internationally.
Gardens by the Bay
The popular Christmas Wonderland is back again with its beautiful light displays, and festive attractions and games. You can take a photo with Santa Claus and even enjoy this festive season with the view of the many Supertree lights dancing to songs of the season in the fantastic Garden Rhapsody light & sound show. Want to get presents for your loved ones? Head on over to the Mistletoe Alley Market.
Admission tickets for 60-minute sessions available now from 3 December to 2 January 2022
Over at the S.E.A. Aquarium, enjoy new content and immersive experiences during THE FIN-TASTIC FRIENDS’ JOLLY ADVENTURE. Happening until 2 January 2022, the event will see the aquarium featuring a unique interactive musical walkway. Capture memorable moments at the photo zones, enjoy an interactive game, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the sea with the tour of the home of 100,000 sea animals.
