There are plenty of Christmas events to get you into the festive mood this Christmas! From admiring the annual light-up at Orchard Road to doing last-minute Christmas shopping, here are some ways to have a fun Christmas in Singapore.
Orchard Road festivities
If you haven’t visited Orchard Road this year, make sure to add it to your to-do list! There’s a new 14-metre tall Christmas tree decked out with Christmas lights and loads of decorations from stars, bells, fir trees, red cardinal birds, arches of pine and holly to a series of light beams that mimic fireflies and snowfall.
In addition, there will be a Great Christmas Eve Street Party. Stretching 400m from ION Orchard to Ngee Ann City, the event will feature live DJ performances, roving mascots, pop-up stalls, food trucks, a countdown to Christmas and more.
Line up for carnival rides at the Great Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. Rides include the Euro Swing, Ferris Wheel, Flying Dumbo ride, carousel, claw machines, and a new Spin & Catch game!
Head to the Hilton Singapore Orchard and use your phone to see Augmented Reality (AR) projections turn the hotel façade into golden sparkles, snowflakes and fireworks.
Alternatively, have a night of bar-hopping with a passport fearing eight iconic bars in the precinct. Called ORBar on A Great Street, the idea is to purchase a passport bundle of eight signature cocktails from four selected bars. Each bar will serve two drinks per passport and these can be redeemed from now until 31 January 2025
Gardens by the Bay
The popular Christmas Wonderland is back again with its beautiful light displays, and festive attractions and games. Explore the 20-metre-tall handcrafted light display inspired by the Castle of Mesola in North Italy, sugary delights near a Gingerbread House set on a field of illuminated candy canes, and loads of new rides, games, performances and food! There will be 13 light displays, a multi-sensory experience with “snow”, and the Holly Roger ship, which has docked so you can meet the pirate elves and Santa Claus!
Admission tickets for 60-minute sessions are available now from 1 December to 1 January.
Universal Studios Singapore Christmas Events
A Universal Christmas returns to Universal Studios Singapore until 1 January! Families can look forward to photo opportunities, character meet-and-greets, and yummy Christmas treats. Plus the theme at the moment is Wicked!
Join Singapore’s merriest parade featuring 42 performers and catch sight of a mesmerising snowfall. Also, enjoy fun rides, snap selfies at themed photo booths, and watch as circus characters bring you special acts, live singing, and thrilling acrobatics performances!
