What to do for Valentine’s Day & beyond

7th February 2020 by Lindsay Yap 2 Min Read

If you haven’t done anything for Valentine’s Day yet, there are some great things going on at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES. From 7 to 29 February, these two lifestyle and entertainment locations in the city have a bunch of fun activities to enjoy – from special Valentine’s menus and live music performances to lucky draws and contests.

Delish eats for two

Planning a romantic meal with your special someone? The restaurants at Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski are offering exclusive Valentine’s set menus on 14 February.

The Capitol Kempinski Teatro lamb chop

At German joint Frieda, look forward to a delicious four-course meal, including glazed Challans duck breast and semolina pudding for dessert. If you enjoy your spices, head to Chalerm Thai where you’ll get to dig into tasty dishes such as tom kha gai (coconut chicken soup) and nua yang (barbecue beef with Thai lime sauce). For a Spanish fix, book a table at El Teatro Tapas or head to La Scala Ristorante for a homely Italian selection, including arancini and risotto. Or, choose to go all out at 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung. Impress your date with the indulgent Valentine’s set – it includes Maine lobster and Black Angus beef! Find out more on the Capitol Singapore Facebook page.

Music and sweet messages

On 14 February, head to CHIJMES and dedicate a special love message to your Valentine. It’ll be projected on the facade of the CHIJMES Hall (from 7.45pm) for all to see! Grab all the details at the website.

Enjoy live music? You’ll be treated to tunes by local singer Juni Goh, keyboardist Estella and percussionist Chap (7pm and 8pm).  The T’ang Quartet will also be making an appearance on 15 February. The classical group is known for their blend of the East and the West and the reinventing of classic pieces.

Snag some great prizes!

Both places have rolled out deals and fun contests to take part in. From 7 to 29 February, upload snaps taken at either location and you’ll stand a chance to win $50 vouchers for Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES. In your photo, tag the malls (@capitolsingapore and @chijmes.sg) and hashtag #TheSeasonofLoveCapitolSG and #TheSeasonofLoveCHIJMES.

Having a meal at either spot on Valentine’s Day itself? You’ll be gifted with a beautiful rose to take home (while stocks last). Plus, if you spend a minimum of $100 from 9 to 29 February, you can get a $5 Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES voucher. It’s available for the first 1000 redemptions (maximum three same-day receipts from either one or both malls) and can be collected at the Capitol Singapore Concierge Counter.

On top of that, there’s The Season of Love Lucky Draw from 9 to 29 February, where you can win shopping and dining vouchers and gifts. It’s simple to enter – you’ll just need to spend at least $50 at either one or both malls, and submit your lucky draw entry online.

So, that’s Valentine’s Day sorted!
