Plugging the need for a bulky item disposal service
Almost two decades ago, Adam noticed that there were many expats who didn’t know how to dispose of bulky waste such as furniture and office equipment. Without easy access to government-approved disposal facilities, it was stressful and time-consuming for them to clear the items themselves.
Junk To Clear was therefore founded to handle the disposal of bulky waste, furniture and tech equipment. Since then, the company has helped tenants who are returning rental units, clearing a place for sale or renovating, helped landlords prepare properties for new tenants, and helped expatriates relocating out of Singapore.
Over the years, the team noticed that often more than one service was required. “Some customers would ask for help not only with moving, renovation, tenancy handover or office relocation,” says Adam, “but also with bulky item disposal, pest control and handyman services.”
Expanding the range of services
To provide a smoother experience from start to finish, Junk To Clear decided to become a one-stop solution.
So, they now also provide handyman services, end-of-tenancy and deep cleaning, aircon maintenance and installation, local moving services, pest control, landscaping, and pool maintenance and servicing. These can be booked through their sister company, Skills To Fix.

How do you determine what bulky item disposal or home services I will need?
We assess each enquiry based on the customer’s requirements. We often ask for photos and videos of the bulky items and the site conditions. From there, we determine the necessary services, equipment and manpower needed to complete the job safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. For larger or more complex projects, we may conduct an on-site assessment to provide the most accurate recommendation and quotation.
How long does it take to clear an apartment or house of bulky items?
It depends on the size of the property, the volume of items, accessibility and the scope of work. A typical bulky removal service for one to two standalone items – for example, one sofa and one dining table – takes around 15 to 20 minutes. For larger houses or properties with a significant amount of clutter, it may take a full day or longer.

Is there anything I should prepare before your team arrives?
We recommend clearing objects from the bulky items to be removed, whether it’s a bookshelf, wardrobe, dressing table, fridge or fish tank.
If your building requires moving permits, lift padding or management approval, please arrange these in advance. Our team will take care of the rest.
