Couldn’t get your hands on tickets for Bruno Mars in May? Don’t be too disappointed! There’s a great lineup of acts and concerts in Singapore to look forward to this year, from pop queen Katy Perry to longstanding American rockers Fall Out Boy.
26 February: Chris Botti
Award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti has four number one jazz albums under his belt and has performed with some of the best in the music world including Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé and John Mayer. He plays the Esplanade Concert Hall in late Feb.
10 March: Shane Filan
Love Westlife? Catch Shane Filan for an exclusive solo show where he will belt out classics such as “Flying Without Wings” and “Everything To Me”. Also, sing along to tracks from his latest album Love Always.
10 March: I Love 90s
You’ll be in for a night of fun, dancing and nostalgia this year’s biggest 90s party I Love 90s. There’ll be an amazing line-up of hot acts, with members from superstar boybands 911, 5ive, and S Club making appearances.
14 March: Fifth Harmony PSA Tour
American pop sensations Fifth Harmony returns this year as part of their latest PSA Tour. Groove along to songs from their third album, Fifth Harmony, as well as hits from album 7/27.
23 March: James Blunt
Catch British singer James Blunt as he performs in Singapore as part of The Afterlove Asia Tour. He is set to release his fifth studio album “The Afterlove” on 24 March which is the follow-up to the multi-platinum selling Moon Landing.
29 March: LANY
Indie music fans are in for a treat, with American band LANY (the name stands for “Los Angeles New York”) playing in Singapore in March. Formed in 2014, the band’s style is a mix of 80s radio pop, 90s R&B soul and atmospheric synths.
8 April: Katy Perry
Known for massive hits such as “Firework” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”, American pop sensation Katy Perry returns to Singapore in April, on a global tour following the release of her latest album Witness. Bound to be one of the biggest concerts in Singapore this year!
12 April: The Script
Dublin-based band The Script will perform live in Singapore in April as part of their Freedom Child tour; expect to hear popular tracks like “Breakeven”, “Hall of Fame”, “Superheroes” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”.
23 April: OneRepublic
They are back! Popular American rock band OneRepublic returns to Singapore for yet another concert after performing at last year’s F1 Grand Prix. Look forward to popular tracks such as “If I Lose myself”, “Counting Stars” and “Good Life”.
30 April: Fall Out Boy
American rock band Fall Out Boy has been doing its thing since 2001, and Singapore-based fans will relish their April show, which is bound to feature a mix of old favourites and tracks from latest album M A N I A.
3 May: Harry Styles
If you missed tickets to his show last year, here’s another chance to catch Harry Styles live, as he tours Singapore with special guest American indie rock band Warpaint. After debuting as a solo artist in May 2017, with a self-titled album that topped UK and US charts, the former One Direction star has pumped out hits such as “Sweet Creature” and “Sign of the Times”. This will be high on the list of concerts in Singapore for many!
4 May: Dua Lipa
Can’t stop grooving to “New Rules”? Catch Dua Lipa as she returns to town this May. A rising sensation, this young British star’s singles have reached top 10 in various countries such as the USA, Canada and Australia.
4 May: Squeeze
British new wave band Squeeze is currently recording the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed Cradle to the Grave, written as a soundtrack to Danny Baker’s BBC TV sitcom of the same name. Expect popular tracks like “Cool For Cats”, “Up The Junction” and “Tempted” to feature in their show in May.
12 June: Niall Horan
Another ex-One Directioner, Niall Horan will be in town in the middle of the year as part of his Flicker World Tour 2018. His successful solo career has seen singles such as “This Town” and “Slow Hands” reach platinum status.
3 & 4 July: Celine Dion
You’ve got to chance to catch those powerful vocals live when Celine Dion comes to town this year! Her (first-ever) stop in Singapore is part of the Celine Dion Live 2018 Tour that will be bringing her all over Asia. Head to the Marina Bay Sands website for updates.
