Teroka Nusantara Festival
6 November - 8 November
Discover the stories, traditions and heritage that connect communities across the Malay World, at the Malay Heritage Centre (MHC)’s inaugural Teroka Nusantara Festival (TNF) from 6 to 8 November 2026. Translated as Exploring the Malay World, the Festival is MHC’s new annual signature festival that brings together communities across Singapore and the region to celebrate the diversity of Malay arts and culture.
Themed Rumah Orang Kita or A Home for Our Community, the inaugural festival gathers partners from Singapore and the region to present a weekend of performances, talks, workshops and activities that explore what it means to be Malay in Singapore within the wider Malay world.
It’s a weekend of:
- Dance by Orkestra Melayu Singapura Street Performance at Baghdad Street and an acoustic performance at Rumah Santai-Santai! (Our Chill Home) with Rumi Folks at MHC Lawn.
- Learning more about the heritage of communities across the Malay World with the wide array of Nusa Budaya Kita cultural booths and Rumah Kita Play Space outdoors at MHC’s Courtyard.
- Free talks that explore traditional games of our region, and Singapore’s film and music journey.
- Interactive workshops for children to learn zapin dance steps, discover Malay food and craft bunga rampai, and explore the tale of Pulau Ubin.
- Teroka Bazaar at the MHC Lawn for food and shopping.
