Home showcases
We love seeing how our readers decorate their homes, and hearing their Singapore stories – which is why we’re always on the hunt for properties to showcase in our print magazine. It can be any kind of accommodation; from a large black-and-white house to a condo apartment, and from a studio in the CBD to an HDB flat. Reader reviews
Are you a food blogger, an avid reader, an armchair movie critic or a makeup queen? We’re always keen to hear testimonials and recommendations. Got a favourite book to suggest, or a new TV series that takes your fancy? Send us a review! We’d’ also love to hear your original recipes for our Recipe Corner pages. We often have hair and beauty products to try out on new faces, too. So get in touch if you’re keen to be involved!
Travel diaries
If you’ve been on a fab holiday – from a family weekend at a Bintan resort to a solo adventure in a more far-flung corner of the world – we’d love to hear from you. Contributions can be in any form you like: a single sentence, a list of tips, a full story – even a handful of high-res photos or a video. Any kind of travel fits the bill: mountain hike, family cruise, yoga retreat, luxury villa stay, surfing expedition, shopping getaway, overseas half-marathon, beach break, cultural experience, wedding ceremony – the list goes on.
We’ll endeavour to let the rest of our readers hear your ideas and see your images, either in our monthly magazine or here online, so they can consider all the options when planning their own future trips.
Parting Shot
If you’ve got a different opinion to share from the topics mentioned above, you can also submit something to our regular back-page Parting Shot feature. Each month, we print a contribution from a reader, covering topics as diverse as the challenges of settling in as a newly arrived expat, to being a paraent, working with a charity, blind dating in Singpore, and everything in between. Also, the writer of the chosen 500-word feature receives a $200 prize! You can send submissions to shamus.sillar@expatliving.sg.
