From gelatos for you and the pup to cat treats shopping and mingling with fellow pet lovers at dog friendly cafes in Singapore – there’s so much to do, shop and eat at Cluny Court for those who love their four legged pals.
Munch and brunch with fellow pet lovers
After a morning walk through the Singapore Botanic Gardens with your pooches, there’s nowhere better for a pick-me-up than nearby Cluny Court’s Prairie by Craftsmen (#01-05C). After all, the team there are all pet lovers themselves. And they have created a space where both owners and pets can feel cosy and comfortable.
This dog friendly cafe in Singapore, sitting inside a gorgeous glasshouse surrounded by greenery, has a charming, welcoming vibe. The indoor or outdoor seating offers a great spot for the whole family to rest their legs after sweating it out. And your pup can make some animal friends while you mingle with fellow pet lovers over delicious food and drinks.
The menu offers a variety of options from leisurely breakfasts to hearty mains. There are also new arrivals like green herb-roasted salmon, sous vide baby back ribs, and confit de canard. While there’s no dedicated pet menu just yet, the café ensures a warm welcome for doggos with lots of water bowls to keep them hydrated.
Prairie by Craftsmen also regularly hosts private parties and pop-up events, in case you’re looking for a spot to celebrate your pet’s next birthday! There’s also an array of affordable alcohol options, from wines at $12 per glass to a 90-minute liquid buffet starting at just $38.
Stock up on feline-friendly treats
Pet lovers love popping into Cold Storage (#01-02) at Cluny Court for their wide selection of pet supplies and treats for cats and dogs. But did you know that the grocery store also has its own in-house brand of cat treats?
Specifically, if you have some adorable feline friends waiting to be fed at home, you’ll want to check out the VitaPet Cat Dry Food in Ocean Fish, Seafood and Tuna flavours. The new and improved formulas are designed for cats aged one year or older to provide optimal nutrition while satisfying their (often discerning) taste buds.
These dry food cat treats are packed full of prebiotics. These help to promote good intestinal health by providing beneficial bacteria for the gut. What’s more, the rich source of protein supports the development of lean muscle, ensuring that your purry pals stay active, nourished and energised.
A new pet lover’s paradise
Vanillapup has been a long-time favourite for pet lovers in Singapore and beyond, having started as an online resource in 2013 sharing health and wellness articles and dog friendly places and things to do. In the years since, it has launched an online pets supplies store and become a go-to spot for pet owners looking for high-quality and functional goodies and accessories.
Now, a decade later, Vanillapup finally has its first brick-and-mortar store at Cluny Court (#02-29). This striking retail space with a unique colour palette is designed by local boutique firm Millimeters Studio. Newly opened last month, you’ll find a treasure trove of international and local pet brands like Zee.Dog, Ruffwear, Wagwear, The Grateful Pet, Lunoji and Ohpopdog. There’s everything from food and treats to grooming products, toys and walking accessories for your beloved dogs.
According to co-founder Sarah Chong, some of Vanillapup’s bestsellers include WagWellies from Wagwear. They’re little rubber boots for dogs that help protect paws from hot grounds, allergens and sharp objects. Shoppers also love the restaurant-grade treats from TAKI Pets, from freeze-dried delicacies like Hokkaido scallops to wagyu and New Zealand king salmon.
The best part? As long as your leashed four-legged friends are carried or in a carrier or stroller, they can be brought into the Vanillapup store and are most welcome to join in on the shopping spree!
A dog friendly afternoon scoop
What’s a day at Cluny Court without a stop by Singapore dog friendly cafe and dessert shop GeloBuna (#01-03B) for its delicious artisanal gelato? We’re talking icy treats not just for you, but your furry friends too. Perfect for cooling down in Singapore’s endless summer, the store serves up a selection of lactose-free sorbets that your four-legged companions will absolutely love. Simply ask the friendly staff for the petite version with the perfect small portions for them.
On the menu, you’ll find plenty of other yummy treats. The classic Affogato is always a favourite. Meanwhile, the must-try specialty signature “White Coffee Gelato” sees GeloBuna’s freshly roasted specialty coffee soaked in a gelato base for at least 48 hours before churning. This gives it an intense coffee aroma in a silky smooth gelato texture, all naturally made.
Enjoy all of this under the towering trees in GeloBuna’s shaded outdoor seating area with its cute wooden stools and tables, as the furry ones play right next to you on the lawn. Ah, bliss.
