If you feel like some good Greek food, try one of these Greek restaurants and places in Singaproe that serve Mediterranean cuisine in Singapore!
Pano Kato
This photogenic restaurant serving Mediterranean and Greek food was opened by the same people who run the furniture and homeware shop House of AnLi. Located on the second floor of Tanglin Mall, the bright and airy space features white and rattan furniture with green accents for a tropical touch.
Additionally, this Mediterranean restaurant offers some of the best family-friendly food ideal for sharing. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available. Must-try sides include the pita with a trio of dips ($28) and the dolmades ($18), a classic Greek dish of vine leaves stuffed with herbed rice and vegetables.
Traditional Greek food
You can also tuck into traditional family recipes served straight from the oven. There’s soutzoukakia (a meatball dish, $32), spanakopita (spinach and feta pie; $30), and a classic dish of Greek seabass ($98). Flown in from the Mediterranean, the fish is roasted with fresh rosemary and thyme and served deboned with lashings of warm extra virgin olive oil. There’s also Maria’s moussaka ($34), an original recipe passed down from owner Panagiotis’s mum, and a selection of charcoal-grilled items featuring meat from Australia. The souvlaki ($28) is a popular pick, or go all out with your steak of choice.
Don’t forget to try Pano Kato’s new Pita Bar menu. With a Gyros Pita station that features a vertical rotisserie, the restaurant serves up traditional Greek pita wraps with your choice of meats and sauces. If you’re really hungry – or looking to share – you can indulge in the pita platter for one or two.
Visiting with friends? Order a tried-and-true baklava ($16), divine layers of crispy filo, roasted pistachios and rosewater syrup served with vanilla ice cream and thyme honey. Otherwise, opt for gluten-free desserts like hazelnut brownie ($16) warmed, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Fun facts on Greek food
- Gyros is named for the turning mechanism that is used to rotate the meat used in the dish. The Greek word means “turn” or “circle”, and is also found in the word gyroscope.
- Beef dishes aren’t very common in Greek cuisine because the country’s mountainous terrain is far better suited to sheep and goats than cows.
