The Albatross File: Singapore’s Independence Declassified

Looking for a school holiday outing? The Albatross File: Singapore’s Independence Declassified is a free, family-friendly exhibition now open at the National Library Building. Created to mark SG60, the immersive experience explores Singapore’s merger-to-separation years from 1963 to 1965 through storytelling, multimedia installations and newly declassified documents, many shown to the public for the first time. Designed for ages 10 and up, the self-paced visit takes around 60 to 90 minutes and includes an interactive timeline, a 20-minute cinematic show, listening booths and an AI-powered chat experience that lets visitors dig deeper into Singapore’s story.
