One Love, A Legacy: Celebrating Joanna & Leslie Wong and Chinese Theatre Circle

One Love, A Legacy is a theatrical production that interweaves dramatic storytelling, multimedia art and Cantonese opera excerpts. It’s presented in collaboration with the Esplanade, celebrating the extraordinary four-decade journey of Chinese Theatre Circle (CTC) and its founders, the pioneering Cantonese opera couple Joanna Wong and the late Leslie Wong.
This is an original Singaporean production, created through artistic collaboration by Cultural Medallion awardee Joanna Wong, Cantonese opera artists Christopher Choo and Jaron Leong, and award-winning contemporary visual artist Ming Wong — nephew of Joanna and Leslie Wong.
The show shines a spotlight on the people tirelessly preserving and promoting Chinese opera in Singapore, reflecting on their personal sacrifices, collective aspirations, and enduring passion. Performed in English and Cantonese, with English and Chinese subtitles.
