Keeping comfortable & cool!

4th March 2021 by Rebecca Bisset 2 Min Read

In Italy, Fly Flot has become well known for its comfortable footwear since launching in the mid-80s. There are hundreds of stores across the country, and the brand is known for its focus on style, quality and wellbeing. Happily for us, these cool and comfortable men’s shoes and women’s sandals are great for Singapore’s climate. Men’s and women’s shoes are available in slippers, sandals, full shoes and more – and can be found in retail stores or shopped online.

The Four A’s

Fly Flot shoes combine style and comfort – and it all starts with the sole. The brand attributes the success of its sole to a combination of three things: “advanced technological research, a deep understanding of the human body and decades of footwear craftsmanship”. This combo results in what it calls “The Four A’s of Total Wellness”:

#1 Anti-Shock

The sole cushions the foot’s impact with the ground, which in turn softens the impact on your spine.

#2 Anatomic

The sole takes the shape of your foot, maximising its supporting surface.

#3 Auto-Shaping

The sole is soft and light, which means that when you wear it, it shapes itself automatically on your foot’s anatomy.

#4 Anti-Slip

The sole guarantees optimal grip on every surface, giving you an improved sense of safety and confidence – especially good for rainy old Singapore!

How to Buy

Fly Flot shoes are available to purchase in-store at Raffles City, Wheelock Place and Tanglin Mall, and also from the company warehouse in Jalan Pemimpin, near Marymount MRT.

You can also order online, and there are some great tools on the website to ensure you get precisely the right size (flyflot.com.sg/pages/find-the-right-shoe-size-for-you). These include step-by-step instructions for measuring your exact foot size, along with a comparative table of different country measurements (US, UK, Italy). There’s even a printable pdf chart of a footprint with a grid of Fly Flot sizes.
