Be it at home or at outdoor or indoor playgrounds in Singapore, do you notice your infant or preschool child choosing how they learn or what to play? If you’d like your child to continue learning in fun and engaging ways, Mulberry Learning childcare centres offer plenty of opportunities for exploration, learning and fun at their childcare centres with playgrounds and play areas.
Childcare centres with playgrounds & play areas for learning
Mulberry Learning focuses on child-directed learning. As such, they see each environment as a “third teacher” – one that contributes a significant role in a child’s learning process. Each preschool is therefore built around its environment. The childcare centres feature Reggio-inspired learning spaces and outdoor or indoor playgrounds in Singapore that offer numerous opportunities for creative thinking and exploration. And no two campuses are the same.
Currently with 13 locations in Singapore, Mulberry Learning will add two more childcare centres in the second half of 2021; the Bukit Batok preschool opens in Q3, followed by the Punggol preschool in Q4.
Right now, find out more about Mulberry Learning’s four newest centres at Braddell, Changi Business Park, Fusionopolis and Namly.
#1 Braddell Infant Care & Child Care Centre with a cool indoor playground!
A central indoor playground forms the heart of the Braddell House’s preschool. It exemplifies Mulberry Learning’s design philosophy of bringing the outdoors inside; it also creates a vibrant oasis for children to learn and play in. The facilities here provide an immersive learning experience. For example, your child can choose their learning by sitting with a book at the cosy Reading Nook, getting active at the indoor playground or engaging in sensorial activities at the Busy Baker station.
#2 Large indoor learning space at Changi Business Park Infant Care & Child Care Centre
The Changi Business Park centre encourages children to play, learn and pick up social skills in an expansive space. The indoor learning spaces span over 8,000 square feet, while there’s a dedicated outdoor playground fitted with slides and a see-saw.
#3 Focusing on learning Chinese at Fusionopolis Child Care Centre Singapore
The Fusionopolis centre offers a specially designed Chinese immersion curriculum that will ingrain strong language fundamentals in your child. It follows Mulberry Learning’s renowned signature programmes, including Habits of Mind and Reggio Emilia Project Inquiry. The learning environment is filled with Chinese characters and words, giving children a holistic and nurturing education to help them become bilingual citizens of the future.
#4 Outdoor play area has themes for learning at Namly Child Care Centre
The centre at Namly provides children with ample exposure to natural elements. Its outdoor learning space is curated according to the themes of Sea, Forest and Mountain. It’s a place where preschool children can develop and hone their gross motor skills while also having active fun.
About the Mulberry Learning Curriculum
Established in 2006, Mulberry Learning is the world’s first and only preschool network globally for Habits of Mind, an intelligent thinking framework from the USA. This framework is also adopted by Singapore’s Ministry of Education to groom the top 1 percent of students in its Gifted Education Programme.
Its signature programmes include Literacy Fun and Chinese Master. These help children acquire an expressive vocabulary of over 4,500 English words, 2,000 Chinese words, 80 Chinese idioms and 16 Chinese poems by the age of six.
They also offer an extensive range of STEAM enrichment programmes such as Picasso Kidz (arts), Little Newton (science) and Music Mooves (music), among others. Children can hone their creativity and problem-solving and critical-thinking skills while having fun.
What’s more, children in the Singapore-based childcare centres interact with partner preschools in China, Australia and Panama. This International Friendship Programme allows students to learn from diverse cultures as they make new friends across the globe via video conferencing.
Class sizes and student-to-teacher ratios are kept small to enable effective teaching and learning for all. Teachers are trained by an in-house behaviour expert on managing and encouraging positive behaviours in preschool children; they’re also given in-house training on nurturing and guiding children with passion.
