#1 Spizza

After launching its first outlet in 2002, this local pizzeria has since opened more stores across the island. While Spizza may be known for its thin-crusted wood-fired pizzas, there’s also a great range of salads, soups, homemade pastas and desserts available. Our tip? Start with the newly introduced portobello mushrooms ($14), which come topped with Bolognese sauce and mozzarella, then share a side of Parma e melone ($14) – a classic Parma ham and rockmelon appetiser – before tucking into delish pastas and pizzas. New items on the menu include flavours with a localised twist like the Kiara, featuring tandoori chicken, and the Reena, a beef rendang pizza. If you’re a fan of grilled skewers, go for Yasmina, a sweet-savoury mix of satay chicken and pineapples. Feeling indecisive? Picky eaters can create their own pizza combination (starts from $16), too! They also offer some attractive takeaway pizza specials.

Psst… Spizza delivers island-wide, too. Order online, through Spizza’s mobile app or call 6377 7773.

#2 Pizzeria L’Operetta

This authentic Italian place uses ingredients imported directly from Napoli, and is the first in Singapore to be certified to serve Napoletana pizzas by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. Obviously, you won’t want to miss the Napoletana ($18), while other great options include Diavola ($25), Pollo ($28) and Bella Napoli ($34) here. Keen to stay home? They also offer pizza delivery in Singapore in via Deliveroo!

Bella Pizza serves white and red Neapolitan pizzas, as well as handmade “Barcas” (aka Sicilian “boat” pizzas) and calzones, all of them served with the store’s perfectly balanced crust. Must-try items include the signature Pizza Bella Pizza ($26) – white pizza with mozzarella, ricotta, salami and sautéed spinach – plus the Burrata ($28), Diavola ($24), and newly introduced Porchetta ($26).

While you’re here, try one of two signature pizzas, the fan-favourite Truffle Shuffle ($18), or The Hangover ($18), made with organic tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, fennel sausage, roasted onions and parmesan. You can also design your own pizza (from $8) or try a pizza-inspired dessert, Pizza Doughnuts with Nutella Dip ($8).

The Spotted Pig Pizza at Extra Virgin: a tasty triple threat of spicy pepperoni, pork sausage and Applewood-smoked bacon.

#7 Extra Virgin Pizza

This pizza spot serves artisanal thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizzas; crowd favourites include the Bufala Margherita Pizza ($24), Spotted Pig Pizza ($30), and signature Pistachio Pesto Pizza ($24) made with a pistachio pesto base, topped with baby arugula and finished with a lemon vinaigrette. #8 La Braceria

Awarded with the “Ospitalità Italiana” mark of quality, it’s no doubt that La Braceria serves authentic, southern Italian cuisine. #9 La Pizzaiola

Striving to re-create the true Italian experience, La Pizzaiola serves affordable classic Italian dishes such as pastas and pizzas. Its pizzas are both vegetarian and meat-lover friendly, making it an ideal neighbourhood resto for everyone. They’ve also got a range of meat and vegetarian options, perfect for a takeaway pizza party at home with your friends.

10# Canadian Two-for-One Pizza

If you want bang for your buck, this is the way to go. The dough-laden cheese pizza and the Hawaiian pizza would both be an easy choice for a party with lots of kids, but you might skip it if you’re trying to impress your adult friends.

11# Peperoni Pizzeria

The Margherita pizza from here comes with fresh tomatoes and was pretty darn tasty. The grilled veggie pizza had a nice variety of vegetables, but far too many black olives for most of us. If you’re looking for pizza delivery in Singapore, their largest size is perfect for get togethers at home.

12# Sarpino’s

This popular spot was also running a two-for-one special. At first, we thought the cheese was a meat pizza as it didn’t look like a typical cheese pizza. The Satay Pizza seemed like a risky order, but actually left us all begging for more — even my dog.
