Acne, pigmentation, dullness, wrinkles, fine lines – what’s your skin concern? Over the years, we’ve discovered a treasure trove of medical-grade treatments to help with whatever skin issues you’re facing. Try one of these non-invasive facials from our favourite aesthetic clinics in Singapore!
Intensive Acne Removal Treatment
Zap away blemishes with this non-invasive aesthetic treatment at French beauty house EstheClinic, which uses a combination of light-emitting diodes (LED) and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technologies. Suitable for the face and neck, each session promises to reduce existing inflammation while preventing future breakouts – without any pain or downtime.
How does it work? First, high-intensity light pulses are directed to problem areas, as well as other parts of your face and neck. This in turn stimulates collagen production, minimises pores and diminishes old acne scars, while improving overall skin condition. If you have sensitive skin, you may feel a slightly warm sensation as the light passes over your skin. Next, the LED treatment uses non-thermal blue and red light pulses to kill acne-causing bacteria and calm any inflammation. This step also helps to regulate and control excess oil production. After just one session, your skin will be soothed and relieved, speeding up the repair and healing process altogether.
This hydra-dermabrasion treatment combines gentle cleansing, exfoliation and extraction with hydrating and antioxidant benefits, with the aim of achieving clearer skin without downtime. Offered at W Skin & Laser Clinic, the non-invasive facial promises to improve concerns like oily and acne-prone skin, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation and brown spots.
Vortex technology is used to deeply cleanse pores and lift away impurities, while hydrating the skin with a nutrient-rich solution. The vortex effect easily dislodges and removes blackheads, whiteheads and sebum without any pain. Afterwards, the patented HydroPeel tip gently exfoliates without skin irritation. This prepares the skin for the final step: the infusion of skincare ingredients. With its spiral-like design, the Vortex-Fusion device allows for powerful and hydrating solutions to penetrate better into the skin. The results? A more even and radiant complexion after just one session. Monthly treatments are recommended to maintain the effects and keep breakouts at bay.
TWC Forever Clear Acne Treatment
There are two main causes of acne: hyperactive oil glands and acne-producing bacteria. To help with that, The Wellness Clinic offers a comprehensive anti-acne programme, where two monthly sessions are carried out for six months.
First, you’ll undergo a laser treatment, which helps to destroy the propionibacterium acnes bacteria (or “p-acne” for short!) and shrink the sebaceous glands to minimise oil production, while reducing skin redness. The treatment also includes a micro-peel facial to clear stubborn oil clogs, treat open pores and soothe the skin. Microdermabrasion helps to get rid of excess debris and residue on the surface. This is followed by a gentle extraction to decongest any clogged pores you might have, and remove both whiteheads and blackheads. Your skin is then toned and tightened via iontophoresis, which employs safe electrical currents as a way of improving the absorption of the skincare ingredients. Finally, a gentle fruit acid mask is applied and washed off, leaving your skin looking fresh and radiant immediately after.
As part of the six-month programme, you’ll also receive a suitable range of skincare products to use at home.
Picocare Fractional Laser
Available at Amaris B Clinic, this laser treatment treats a variety of skin concerns like freckles, dull skin, active acne, acne scars and hyperpigmentation. The FDA-approved picosecond laser comes with a fractional hand piece (called HEXA Microlens Array Technology, or HEXA MLA), which uses Laser Induced Optical Breakdown. The hand piece boasts a wide range of spot sizes for better precision, making it safer and more advanced compared to other laser procedures.
As it’s a picosecond laser, it can generate faster pulses compared to nanosecond pulse lasers, which were previously the common standard. This shortens the downtime and allows for each session to be completed within less time. Expect pinkish spots or slight redness for up to four to five days after your treatment, so staying out of the sun and keeping your skin moisturised is important for recovery.
If you have dull and lacklustre skin, you’ll like this facial, newly launched at SW1 OUE and Paragon. The rejuvenating, 60-minute treatment uses star ingredient CHA-717 Active, a patented anti-ageing activator from renown Korean wellness centre CHAUM. The patented formula promotes cellular regeneration via seven kinds of growth factors and 17 different amino acids.
Unlike traditional facials, 717 targets the skin at the cellular level, which helps to reduce wrinkles and pigmentation while boosting skin resilience and radiance. The results are instant – a glowing and well-hydrated base!
