The Lash Company 2D Volume Lashes eyelash extensions in Singapore
($158; first trial $128; refills at $88 within three weeks and $108 within four weeks)
As an eyelash extensions newbie, I was a little late to the party. While everyone I know has raved about them for years, I’d somehow never given them a go – until now. My visit to The Lash Company in Holland Village was an absolute delight. The studio is warm and inviting and exudes a sense of calm. My lash artist was incredibly thorough, explaining all the options, from curl and length to shape and density. Everything is fully customisable, which was reassuring for a first-timer like me. To keep things natural yet noticeable, I went with 2D volume lashes, a fan shape, and a basic curl on her recommendation.
The application process was so comfortable I actually fell asleep! When I woke up, I was amazed. The eyelash extensions were just what I hoped for: full, fluffy, elegant and natural-looking without being too dramatic. I left with a handy care kit, complete with a brush and spoolie, to keep my lashes looking fresh for longer.
Now, over a week later, they still look perfect; not a single lash has fallen out and the convenience is unbeatable. No more mascara smudges on my hooded eyelids, just a dash of eyeliner and I’m good to go. The lashes also make my eyes look more open and refreshed, which has been a game-changer.
I love how the eyelash extensions enhance my look, and I really appreciate how much time they save in my daily routine. This experience has won me over. I’m already planning to return and might even try 3D lashes next time. If you’ve been on the fence about lash extensions, I highly recommend starting here – you won’t regret it!

Jo Artysan – The Brow Specialist eyebrow embroidery
Artysan Signature Brows (senior artist $790; master artist $990; director $1,500)
Few beauty treatments are as instantly transformative as a good eyebrow embroidery session. My recent visit to Jo Artysan left me so impressed! From the moment I stepped into the tranquil Somerset Road studio, I was welcomed warmly by founder Jo. She exuded genuine passion for the craft, which immediately put me at ease about the upcoming transformation of my “virgin” brows.
The consultation was thorough as Jo took the time to explain all the brow options (Ombre Powder, Microblading, Microshading, Artysan Signature and Nanoblading Brows) and really understand my preferences. Her expertise shone through as she provided insights and recommendations to enhance my natural features. In the end, I went for the popular Artysan Signature Brows, which promised a beautifully fluffy and feathered look.
As the procedure began, I was struck by the meticulous attention to detail exhibited. Every stroke of the microblade was executed with precision and crafted to mimic the appearance of natural hair, ensuring a realistic and lifelike look. The result? Fuller-looking, voluminous eyebrows that beautifully framed my face. Despite any initial apprehension, the process was surprisingly comfortable, thanks to the skilled hands and gentle demeanour of my brow artist.
A testament to its commitment to quality, the team at Jo Artysan uses only premium pigments from Korea and Europe, which further enhance the longevity of the eyebrows. The post-procedure care instructions were thorough. I was given a take-home kit containing a healing balm and sponge to ensure optimal healing and long-lasting results.
From the craftsmanship to the customer service, every aspect of the experience surpassed my expectations. The studio’s dedication to client satisfaction was evident from start to finish, leaving me really impressed and eager to return. I would wholeheartedly recommend this eyebrow embroidery service to anyone seeking a transformative beauty experience.

SleekBrow Misty Eyebrow Embroidery for natural yet defined brows
($470 by resident artist; $570 by lead artist; $670 by master artist)
Like many people, I plucked my eyebrows to death in the ’90s and they’ve never been the same since. I have been religiously filling them in every day. So when I was given the opportunity to try out eyebrow embroidery at SleekBrow, I jumped at the chance.
I was slightly nervous as I’ve never had anything “semipermanent” done before. I wasn’t exactly sure what I should be asking for. But from the minute I walked through the door, I was reassured by the team’s friendly, knowledgeable and confident approach. It started with a 30-minute consultation, discussing what I knew I didn’t want (since all I really knew was that I wanted it to look quite natural!). The team drew an outline and filled it in with makeup to replicate a finished look that I was happy with. By this stage, I was relaxed and confident to go with anything they suggested.
I was then taken upstairs to the treatment room and had the luxury of lying down and napping for approximately 90 minutes during the treatment. The treatment itself didn’t hurt at all. At the end, it felt slightly sore, but this feeling went very quickly. Throughout the process I was asked how it felt and whether I was okay.
Taking my first look in the mirror after the eyebrow embroidery treatment, I was a little worried as my brows were a bit darker than how I usually drew them. But I was reassured by the team that this was normal and they would fade and the outlines would blur over a couple of days. I left with an aftercare kit and a smile on my face.
Four days later, everything they said is true and I couldn’t be happier with what I believe look like the eyebrows I had before I plucked them away. No more daily filling in for me – I will definitely be going back in six months for a maintenance treatment!

Jen Beauty Wet Thai Lashes eyelash extensions in Singapore
($98; 30 percent off for new customers)
Eyelash extensions are a firm staple in my beauty routine. I’m always on the hunt for new places to get them done! And I’m so glad to have found this gem of a spot on Haji Lane. Run by a team of lovely Vietnamese beauticians, Jen Beauty has been around for about two years and feels like a hidden sanctuary in the middle of the buzzy neighbourhood. It offers everything from eyelash extensions and eyebrow embroidery to mani-pedis and even hair removal.
My lash artist Tracy was warm and knowledgeable as she listened to my preferences and walked me through all the different style, length and curl options. We decided on the unique “Wet Thai Lashes”. I liked that these are applied with a water-based technique. This helps achieve a natural “wet look” that holds up nicely to Singapore’s humidity. Tracy also suggested single-strand (or 1D) eyelash extensions in a slightly longer length than what I’m used to for a soft and fluttery effect.
What really stood out was how gentle the whole process was as well as the quality of the products used. My eyes are quite sensitive so there’s often a bit of stinging or watering during lash treatments, but not here. In fact, Tracy was so skilful that I couldn’t feel her working on my lashes at all – no tugging, no pulling. I nodded off for a blissful hour and a half!
The results are amazing: long fluttery eyelash extensions with just the right oomph that look so natural and open up my eyes without being too dramatic. They have been incredibly long-lasting too; a month on, they’re still going strong. If you’re looking for high-quality yet affordable eyelash extensions in Singapore, definitely make a beeline for this cosy spot.

Eyebrow embroidery, powder brows and eyelash extensions in Singapore – what’s trending?
Eyelashes and eyebrows are having a major moment on centre stage – and they aren’t about to exit left anytime soon. I think the reason lush lashes and full eyebrows are so attractive is that they signal health. Only a vibrant, well-nutrified body will go to the trouble of maintaining a full, thick head of hair – let alone brows and lashes to frame, protect and beautify the eyes. This is also why eyebrow embroidery, powder brows and eyelash extensions in Singapore are so popular.
As with most aspects of fashion and beauty, brow trends have cycled and been recycled through the decades. Today’s dramatically full, defined and manicured brows were also popular in the 40s and 50s – think Elizabeth Taylor, Vivienne Leigh. But that hasn’t always been the case. They were thin and rounded in the 20s, understated Twiggy-style in the 1960s, and again thin and plucked in the 1970s and 1990s.
In fact, the natural brows of some of my friends and family have never really recovered from overzealous plucking in the name of fashion. New tattooing techniques like eyebrow embroidery which includes eyebrow microblading and powder brows have been a godsend for them – and for anyone who has lost brow-hair to thyroid issues or simply getting older. Plus, of course, powder brows work wonders for people like me whose real eyebrows are so short, fine and blonde as to be literally invisible. Powder brows also give a natural-looking outcome, so they look like your no-makeup self.
Flutter-worthy eyelash extensions in Singapore
The lash-enhancement trend is difficult to ignore – especially for genetically dispossessed unfortunates such as yours truly. From long, wispy, ingenuous lashes that could almost be natural, to those ultra-dramatic fan-like sweeps, eyelash extensions instantly add glamour and an undeniable wow factor. Yes, top-quality extensions are not inexpensive, and maintaining them takes time and commitment. The same goes for achieving stunning eyebrows, though perhaps to a lesser extent.
