After years in Singapore’s premium shopping mall scene, White Ginger is turning a new page. The homegrown resort wear brand has moved to Joo Chiat Road, sharing a beautifully curated retail space with Singapore Trading Post!

A fresh new chapter for White Ginger

For founder EMMA FEMMINILE, the shift couldn’t feel more aligned. “It’s one that is both intentional and deeply personal.”

Her decision to move was rooted in sustainability – not just environmentally, but commercially. “As a small independent business, premium mall rents were becoming unsustainable,” she explains. “We’ve always wanted to keep our pricing friendly and accessible for our customers. That matters more to us than postcode prestige.”

Joo Chiat, with its heritage shophouses, creative energy and strong community feel, offers something different – “character over corporate polish”, as Emma describes it. “It’s a neighbourhood that celebrates individuality, much like White Ginger itself.”

What hasn’t changed is the heart of the brand. White Ginger continues to design and produce from its small manufacturing house in Bali, working closely with artisans to create limited, thoughtfully made collections. Known for feminine silhouettes, expressive prints and easy glamour, the resort wear label remains committed to offering pieces that feel distinctive rather than mass-produced.

Beyond its signature dresses and resort wear pieces

The new space also expands the brand’s lifestyle and menswear offering. Alongside White Ginger’s signature dresses and resort pieces, shoppers will find Senja Bali Co., a refined menswear line featuring relaxed shirts and tailored trousers, ensuring there’s something for the men, too.

“In many ways, the move feels like a return to roots: independent, creative and community-focused,” Emma tells us. “In Joo Chiat, White Ginger hasn’t downsized; it has recalibrated.” And the result is a space that feels warmer, more personal and entirely on brand.
