Looking for a St Patrick’s Day celebration in Singapore? There’s loads going on at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES this March, including Irish dance performances and yummy St Patrick’s eats and tipples. Here’s what in store.
Food, fun and festivities
CHIJMES will be offering festive food and drinks, performances and more on 13 and 14 March (from 6.30pm). Head to The Lawn and enjoy delish eats and drinks from El Mero Mero. Grab a pint of Guinness or Kilkenny ($15, or $25 for two) and pair it with some crispy nachos ($15). Or, if you’re feeling peckish, order some sliced beef with a side of greens and a baked potato ($20).
Don’t be too quick to head off because there’s more in store as night falls. On both evenings (8.30pm), there’ll be Irish dance performances by talented young dancers from the Irish Inspirational Dance School. Trained in both traditional and modern Irish dances, the troupe regularly performs locally and internationally, including at the annual St Patrick’s Ball in Singapore. Their energetic dances and tunes are bound to get everyone into the St Paddy’s spirit!
Green and gorgeous
In honour of St Patrick’s Day, the former convent will be literally going green! On the evening of 14 March (from 8pm), you’ll be able to witness the iconic façade of the CHIJMES Hall light up as part of Tourism Ireland’s annual Global Greening campaign.
