Fancies
When shopping for underwear, the main priority has to be comfort. This family-owned business specialises in men’s boxer briefs that are made with micromodal, a cellulose-based fabric that’s extremely soft to the touch and moisture-resistant. To maintain its form, elastane is added to the fabric, which keeps the material durable and results in a consistent shape, wash after wash.
The locally based brand takes control of the entire production process, from sourcing the materials and designing the underwear, to the final packaging and distribution. As a result, costs are kept low and any savings are returned to the customer, which explains the affordable price tag ($18.50 per piece). The briefs are made sustainably and ethically in brand-owned factories, which are located in Manisa and Izmir in the Aegean region of Turkey.
Choose from a fun range of designs, with options like zebra and leopard patterns as well as cheeky hidden messages like “Magic Stick” and “Love Machine” printed inside the front waistband.

The Shirt Bar
A well-made dress shirt can make you feel like a million bucks without costing a fortune. This local label specialises in affordable yet high-quality men’s shirts that are built to last. The shirts are made with technologically advanced finishing and functions to make them as comfortable as possible. For example, the labels are cut using ultra-sonic laser for a soft touch, and the stretchable collars feature German interlining for a structured yet snug fit.
The team works with socially responsible partners and rolls out new designs that aren’t limited by the seasons. If you’re a fan of prints, there’s a selection of quirky patterns available, on top of classic solids, stripes and checks. To make life easier, the brand stocks fabrics that are wrinkle-free, spill-resistant and anti-bacterial.
You can find your full outfit at The Shirt Bar! On top of men’s clothes like shirts, explore the range of blazers, vests, pants and accessories like shoes, belts and pocket squares, available at all outlets.

The Prestigious Bespoke
If you’ve decided to invest in a quality suit, consider getting it done at The Prestigious Bespoke. Equipped with over 60 years of experience in the industry, Master Tailor and university lecturer Thomas Wong oversees a team of tailors at the spiffy-looking atelier on Boat Quay.
Choose from a wide range of fabrics from premium European mills, including well-known labels like Piacenza, Loro Piana, and Holland and Sherry. From the initial design to the hand-drafting and sewing process, every step of the production process is done in-house. A suit takes around six to eight weeks to commission, with two fittings scheduled in addition to a first consultation and collection. The final crafting process for a suit entails a laborious 240-step process that spans 80 hours, across seven days.
Another aspect that sets the tailoring house apart is the service. Each customer has direct communication with the artisans crafting their suit. The tailor who measures you during your first appointment will be the very one who makes your suit and fits you.
The Prestigious Bespoke has been listed as one of the best bespoke tailors in Singapore by Best in Singapore in 2020, for the fourth year in a row!

Travailler Timepieces
Founded by 27-year-old entrepreneur Jeremy Moi, Travailler Timepieces specialises in high-end dial watches that are handcrafted and assembled in Singapore. Newly launched online is the Matin collection. Taking inspiration from the French word for morning, the timeless design is available in three shade options: a black lacquered dial, a silver guilloche dial and, the flagship of the brand, the Grand Feu enamel. The stunning collection features colours of the sky in transition from night to dawn and morning; from black to blue and white.
A classic timepiece with a traditional choice of teardrop lugs and an enamel dial, the Matin Blue Moon Enamel is on top of our lust list. Tried-and-tested Grand Feu (“great fire”) techniques are employed here: enamel powder is powdered onto a base dial and fired in a kiln at 780 degrees. The finished product is unique and no two dials are the same. The dial is then fired multiple times to several layers for a consistent tone. Even though the enamelling process is labour intensive and time-consuming, the results are worth the effort.
Your watch is covered by a two year warranty, which includes material and manufacturing defects existing at the time of delivery.
