Looking to usher some tropical vibes into your home? Beyond gorgeous fashion and jewellery, boutique shop Cove Collection tucked away at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove stocks a finely curated range of home and décor pieces – each brimming with signature island charm and handmade with love. Here, co-founders JACQUIE HOURIHANE and EMILY GREALLY handpick their favourite pieces from four female-owned homeware brands. Find them all at Cove Collection’s treasure trove at W Singapore. And turn your home into a stunning tropical haven!
Bowerbird Ceramics and Home Accessories
Fusing Eastern and Western influences, Bowerbird Ceramics offers sophisticated ceramic pieces with a whimsical touch. After taking inspiration from nature-inspired drawings and meticulously considering colours, each piece is then hand painted and finished with brass by select talented artisans in Vietnam, ensuring that it’s unique and individual.
From large platters and vases that make stunning centrepieces to delicate coasters and jars that add a touch of artsy individuality, you can fill your home – dining room, coffee table, sideboard, you name it – with stunning tropical influences. Each product is crafted in limited runs, too, so it’s sure to have that wow factor in your home.
The Cat’s Meow Tableware
Hoping to jazz up your alfresco party? Look no further than The Cat’s Meow, whose range of napkins and table runners in vibrant hues and prints are handmade right here in Singapore. The napkins feature a double layer of 100 percent cotton fabric in gorgeous prints – think tropical palms, colourful birds and flowers, and everything in between, against a complimentary or contrasting colour.
Pair them with a fun and funky table runner that similarly embraces colour and prints. At 250cm, the runners are perfect for a six- to eight-seater table, though they can also be customised if a different length is needed. Fabrics are sourced from the UK, US, Australia and locally – including hidden gems scoured from Singapore’s fabric district that form the basis of these one-off creations.
Chomcharm Handmade Homeware
Affectionately named after the founder’s two daughters, Chom and Charm, shop this boutique brand that pays homage to the raw natural beauty of kaolin ceramics and intricately crafted driftwood pieces the founder discovered on her travels.
You’ll find the same organic textures, soft curves and earthy tones in Chomcharm’s handmade ceramic creations, designed to be both beautiful and functional. Likewise, their driftwood products exude a rustic elegance and each piece is crafted to evoke a connection with the beauty of nature. You can easily invite the outdoors into your home by adorning various corners with the range of jars, vases, and figurines, available in unique shapes, sizes and materials.
Treasure Trove Homeware
You’ll discover Indian philosophy, culture and heritage imbued in Treasure Trove’s range of modern serveware. The founder, herself an expat in Singapore, saw a gap in the market, especially for the diaspora community. She sought to design pieces with touches of India – “that little something that makes your house a home”.
All products are made in mango wood by skilled craftsmen from various parts of India, thus providing them with a global platform to shine and share their craft. Items like cutting boards, serving bowls and plates are not only thoughtfully designed but also durable, making them perfect for dinner parties or even everyday celebrations with the family.
Boutique shop Cove Collection is on the 2nd floor of W Hotel Singapore – Sentosa Cove, 21 Ocean Way.
