SMMIS opens Grades 11 & 12 for High School

It’s an exciting time at Sir Manasseh Meyer International School (SMMIS), which has expanded its academic offerings with the introduction of Grade 11 and Grade 12 from August 2025. Students will now have a complete educational pathway, guiding them through their final years of secondary education.

Ms Elaine Robinson, the school’s Principal, says, “By offering these senior grades, we aim to provide a complete, enriching academic experience that equips our students with the knowledge, skills and mindset to thrive in their chosen fields. Our vision is to prepare students not only for academic success but also for their roles as responsible global citizens.”

The Grade 11 and 12 programme at SMMIS will offer a broad range of subjects in the sciences, humanities, mathematics and the arts. The curriculum will also allow students to explore specialised areas of interest through elective courses, ensuring they are well-prepared for higher education and future careers.

In addition to academic learning, the school will continue to emphasise the importance of character development, leadership and community engagement.

Unique model for secondary education

The school’s educational model for Grade 11 and 12 is a unique blend that will run in partnership with Kings Inter High, an outstanding British online school.

SMMIS students will attend live synchronous lessons that feature a comprehensive curriculum designed to nurture critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and global awareness.

The Secondary High School grades will focus on both academic rigour and holistic development. This will help prepare students for the challenges of tertiary education and beyond.

On-site support will be provided by SMMIS and will include:

• Access to academic support
• Form Tutors
• A social network
• Swimming for PE
• All additional non-examination subjects

Students will also be encouraged to take on leadership roles within the SMMIS community and participate fully in school life.
