Calling all foodies! Here’s your chance to feast at Singapore’s lushest restaurant atop Labrador Park Nature Reserve for less. Of course, we’re talking about Tamarind Hill Singapore who are playing host to SAMADHI Food Festival from 17-23 August 2015. Snap up a booking at this elegant eatery and tuck into specially created lunch and dinner set menus at delicious prices (think $35++ for lunch and $75++ for dinner).
Part of SAMADHI (which owns the Tamarind group of ‘rustic luxe’ restaurants dotted in hideaway locations around Malaysia and Singapore, as well as some rather swish Asian villas and resorts – keep up, won’t you?), Tamarind Hill has always been on our radar of favourite dining spots, with Executive Chef Wanthana Nikonsaen’s contemporary Thai cuisine just the right mix of exotic, authentic and unpretentious. And, now you can get his award-winning village cooking served to you (literally) on a platter!
Tamarind Hill’s signature dishes will be the the order of the week during SAMADHI Food Festival, with the lunch-time menu including an appetiser of Chicken Skewer served with Green Papaya Salad, mains of Shrimp Paste Rice with Prawn and heaps of yummy condiments, and dessert of Pandan Chendol with Coconut Milk. And you can swig on a glass of Codorniu Cava for $15, too.
Pull up a seat of an evening and you’ll be presented with an appetiser platter of Dried Tom Yam Chicken in a Crispy Cup, Salmon Roll Salad with Mint Leaf and Pork Skewer served with Roasted Chilli Sauce. Follow that with a Prawn Soup in red Tom Yam, mains of Roasted Duck in Garlic Sauce, and Crispy Coconut Crepes with Sweet Egg Yolk for pud’. We love a wine-pairing deal as much as the next person, and so we know you’ll join us in washing down your meal with a glass each of French Aix Rose and Babich Pinot Noir from Marlborough, New Zealand for $25++!
SAMADHI’s restos’ in Malaysia will also be getting involved in the festival – just in case you happen to be up north that week. Check out Tamarind Hill, NEO Tamarind and Tamarind Springs in Kuala Lumpur and Cheong Fatt Tze in the iconic The Blue Mansion in Georgetown, Penang.
Says self‐confessed foodie and CEO of SAMADHI, Federico Asaro, “This SAMADHI Food Festival is the first of an annual tradition that we are very excited to set in motion. We realize that there are many foodies out there who are keen to try our food but may not be able to afford it. It is a fantastic opportunity for such diners to dig in as well as enjoy our signature SAMADHI Experience at very reasonable prices.”
We’ll eat (and drink) to that!
