This is an elegant and intimate romantic restaurant for a Valentine’s dinner or date night in Dempsey Hill. Chef Heman – known locally as the “Iron Man Chef” – serves up innovative, modern European cuisine with Asian influences, crafted with the finest ingredients and served in an elegant indoor space or on an outdoor terrace with views of the historical barracks and jungle. You know you’re in for a gastronomic adventure here when the dishes arrive on handcrafted ceramic plates made by the chef himself!
For Valentine’s this year, MOONBOW has created a special “Te Amo” menu (from $138), available for dinner on Sunday 13 February, and lunch and dinner on the 14th. After a complimentary amuse-bouche, guests will enjoy starters of Fine de Claire oysters and salmon confit, followed by a wild mushroom soup and then a snow pear sorbet to cleanse the palate. Mains include a choice of 120-day grain-fed Angus beef with foie gras in a port wine reduction, or Eve’s Black Cod, a seared cod fillet with crispy rice, pickled lemon and broccolini. For a sweet ending, there’s a “cigar” of dark chocolate mousse for the gents, and a crimson grape Bakewell tart with raspberry sorbet for the ladies.
There’s also a great list of New and Old World wines to enjoy, plus classic refreshing cocktails and more.
