There is truth to the adage that you will never work a day in your life if you’re doing something you love. And many who take a hospitality management course find the industry one of the most interesting and also exciting out there, with room to explore and grow anywhere in the world.
If your pre-university teen is wondering what to study, how about honing a specialty in some of the finest hotels and restaurants? Now you can get a business degree foundation for exactly that, right here in Singapore at the EHL Hospitality Business School. With the added excitement of hospitality work and internships, this is a degree with the kind of human touch that hospitality confers.
EHL is a leading Swiss university offering the industry-preferred Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management. It has pioneered management processes and training methodologies since 1893.
About the Bachelor of Science Degree in International Hospitality Management
The Bachelor degree is delivered over four years. In that time, students learn how to lead and launch businesses using hospitality know-how and soft skills, combined with management expertise and academic discipline. They can also spend a semester on a different campus from where they’re based. Aside from the Singapore location, EHL has two Swiss campuses. One is in Lausanne, the other in the Alpine city of Chur.
The pedagogy is equally focused on the wellbeing of the student and providing a supportive learning environment. Jenny Ang, Managing Director of the Singapore campus, says: “EHL is a world-leading hospitality management school, pioneering boundary-breaking teaching methods and setting globally recognised standards of excellence within this field. Combining this renowned Swiss-quality education within an Asian context, the campus in Singapore offers students the same world-class education experience while expanding their opportunities as future hospitality leaders to thrive in an international landscape.”

Dr Luciano Lopez, Dean of the Singapore campus, says: “If you are beginning your journey in EHL’s first international campus outside of Switzerland, stay open-minded about the new opportunities that this experience in Asia will bring. Singapore’s high standards in tourism and hospitality provide a step-up in careers in hospitality and beyond. You’ll receive the same high-class curriculum from Switzerland, supplemented with Asian case studies and guest speakers from the industry.
Dr Lopez adds that the beautiful campus at 3 Lady Hill Road is fully equipped for an outstanding learning experience. “We offer a first-class education combining pedagogical innovation, real-life examples and the daily commitment of passionate educators.”
In addition to the bachelor’s degree, there are short courses for exploring new areas of innovation in the industry. These cover a wide range of subjects that are key to developing skills and keeping up with international benchmarks.
