What to cook at home from a special gourmet grocer!

4th July 2022 by Dinesh Ajith 2 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/gourmet-grocer-tips-on-what-to-cook-at-home/

Wondering what to cook at home for yourself or for dinner parties? After the last few months highlighted by organic Welsh lamb and handcrafted local Easter eggs, gourmet grocer Sasha’s Fine Foods has unveiled its newest selection of products to give you some ideas.

It couldn’t have come at a better time too! With the recently lifted restrictions, Sasha’s expanded range provides just the reason you need to host your next dinner party. Here are some items you’ll want for your table.

# Premium Japanese pork

If you or your guests are meat lovers, you’ll be keen to check out the range of premium Japanese pork offerings at Sasha’s. If you like to keep things simple, put together an easy pork chop dinner with the Kurobuta collar steak cut. For a bigger group or something a little more special, grab a hotpot and a couple of packs of sliced Kurobuta collar shabu shabu. Plus, because they’re vacuum sealed and frozen, you’ll want to get a few extra packs for the freezer for impromptu dinners or get-togethers! Looking to add more to the feast? There’s a selection of turkeys, hams and wagyu beef (ribeyes and sliced shabu shabu) available too.

# New vegan options

It’s not all about meat at Sasha’s. If you’ve got vegan guests or friends with special dietary needs, you’ll still have plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options to choose from at this gourmet grocer. New on the shelf are White Rabbit frozen pizzas. Both vegan and glutenfree, these come with two choices of toppings – margherita and garlicky mushroom.

# Decadent desserts, ice creams and more

Sweet tooths are in for a treat as well, as Sasha’s latest addition to its lineup of desserts includes a selection of vegan ice creams from Kind Kones. This ice cream is sourced locally and made fresh daily, and it’s free from gluten, dairy, egg and refined sugars. If you prefer something lighter and more refreshing, wow your guests with organic acai berry with lemon ice cream from Selva Foods.

To wash it all down, peruse the new selection of sparkling water from Dash Water. It comes in a slew of cool flavours like raspberry, cucumber, peach and lemon. In line with the focus on ethical producers, at this gourmet grocer, Dash Water is also made with “ugly” fruits and vegetables to reduce food wastage.

Sasha’s Fine Foods offers deliveries seven days a week, with no minimum order amount for home delivery. Orders of $80 and above qualify for free delivery, while orders below that amount will incur a $10 delivery fee. Order before 1pm for same-day delivery, Monday to Saturday.
