Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy – official release
13 February - 13 March
Step back into the world of Bridget Jones again in this third movie!
In the two decades that followed her cinematic debut, Bridget has evolved with her audience, finding love with Mark Darcy, having children and building a life that even the Smug Marrieds would envy.
Now, in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Bridget finds herself unexpectedly widowed in midlife, the mother of two children – 10-year-old Billy (Casper Knopf) and 6-year-old Mabel (newcomer Mila Jankovic) – grappling with grief and struggling to rediscover herself, and her place, in a new reality.
Pressured by her Urban Family and her gyneacologist Dr. Rawlings (Oscar winner Emma Thompson) — to forge a new path toward life and love, Bridget goes back to work and even tries out the dating apps, where she’s soon pursued by a dreamy and enthusiastic younger man (Leo Woodall).
Bridget grapples with the judgment of the perfect mums at school, worries about Billy as he struggles with the absence of his father, and engages in a series of awkward interactions with her son’s rational-to-a-fault science teacher (Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor).
Come along with Bridget as she goes on another journey of self-love and self-acceptance.
Based on the novel by Helen Fielding, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michael Morris from a screenplay by BAFTA nominee Helen Fielding and and Oscar nominee Dan Mazer and Emmy winner Abi Morgan.
The movie opens in Golden Village cinemas islandwide on Thursday, 13 February.
