Review #1: Lash extensions in Singapore at Dr. Lash
Location: Tanjong Pagar branch
I’ve always been a fan of the curl of those long, pretty eyelashes. And having not experienced false eyelash extensions before, I was apprehensive but excited to get my lash transformation. The Dr. Lash team are experts in this, and I felt at ease from the moment I walked in as they were friendly and helpful. They first did an assessment to check what style and length of eyelashes would suit me. I have quite long eyelashes anyway, so the Aphrodite style was chosen, with strands at 11mm.
My lash artist started with a three-step cleaning spa, which removed any oil, dirt and bacteria from my natural lashes. She then carefully prepped my eyes and lashes with an eye mask before using primer to double cleanse and remove every last bit of excess oil. After that, my natural lashes were combed and fanned very gently, to help ensure the perfect placement of the individual lash extensions. The premium mink eyelash extensions were not glued directly to my eyelids but carefully extended 0.1mm away from the root of each lash to ensure no damage to the original lashes and to avoid any irritation. The procedure itself was seamless (it lasts for around 60 to 90 minutes) and also very relaxing. I did fall asleep, but perhaps that was partly due to my jetlag too!
I love the results. No mascara is needed, so it’s been a game-changer for getting ready in the mornings. And with great care to brush lightly and separate, they will last a while. I’m converted. Not to mention, they have branches all over Singapore, so it’s super convenient to get an appointment.

Review #2: Nanoknots – hair extensions in Singapore at Dr. Lash
Location: Tanjong Pagar branch
I’ve always been concerned about my daily hair fall. Many years ago, a scalp treatment specialist identified that my scalp wasn’t healthy, and I did a home care scalp treatment to encourage the growth of new hair follicles. However, hair growth takes time and my efforts have come in spurts. I am also reluctant to try traditional hair extensions. When I heard about Nanoknots, I was very eager to give it a go. It’s a natural hair extension – or hair boosting – that involves knotting synthetic hair onto healthy strands of natural hair. No chemicals, non-invasive, no pain, instant volume and discrete.
I arrived at the Tanjong Pagar branch of Dr. Lash in anticipation. My therapist Sheila provided a brief explanation of the process. She also patiently answered my questions about maintenance. Nanoknots will grow together with my hair and will fall only when the strand of hair they are attached to falls off. So I could keep doing what I’m currently doing for hair care. Before a cut or chemical treatment, I could come back to have the knots moved back closer to the hair root.
The first step was a scalp diagnosis. Macro photos of my hairline, parting line and crown were taken. The condition of my scalp has improved considerably since the consultation many years ago but my hair follicle health remains the same. Sheila suggested using 200 strands of Nanoknots on my crown area.
After deciding on the colour of synthetic hair that best matches my natural hair, I relaxed in the chair as Sheila went to work. She selected one healthy strand of my hair at a time to attach four strands of nano hair. There was a slight pulling sensation on the area of the scalp where she worked on, but it wasn’t uncomfortable or painful.
45 minutes later, the result was instant – the thin patch on my crown now looked fuller and the knots weren’t visible. I walked out of the salon without any discomfort, pain or chemical smells around my head of fuller hair. While Nanoknots is an instant solution for covering patches, Dr. Lash recommends using them in tandem with professional scalp treatments that encourage the growth of health hair follicles. The result would be a healthy scalp and naturally fuller hair.
