Dempsey Hill Restaurants – New Stores & More!

7th July 2021 by Expat Living 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/dempsey-hill-restaurants-singapore-news/

These former British army barracks continue to be one of the hippest retail and lifestyle destinations in Singapore today. Here we bring you up to date on the new Dempsey Hill restaurants plus latest store openings from beauty salons to furniture stores!

New Dempsey Hill Restaurants

Fresh Face

New to Dempsey is Canchita, named after a type of corn traditionally eaten as a snack in Peru. A visit to this Dempsey Hill restaurant transports you from Singapore to the rugged, biodiverse landscape of Latin America. The menu is curated by Chef Tamara and showcases the area’s cuisine and culture, with a strong focus on authentic Peruvian dishes. For drinks, there’s a slew of Latin American liquors, as well as specialty cocktails crafted by Joe Alessandroni from Junior The Pocket Bar. We love the nature-forward space, too, which has a design inspired by the area of the Amazon rainforest located within Peru.

Sundays Sorted!

MOONBOW’s new brunch highlights will appeal to plenty of different palates. There’s Heman’s Orzo Nasi Lemak, for example, which is Chef Heman’s twist on the local favourite, using creamy coconut orzo in place of rice. Those who prefer classics can opt for The Big English Breakfast, or the Hen’s Egg Benedict ($24). This Dempsey Hill restaurant has also introduced an all-new Weekend Roast menu. Choose from Heman’s BBQ Iberico Prime Ribs, featuring fork-tender ribs, or the likes of grass-fed baby rack of lamb from New Zealand, pan-roasted ocean barramundi, and delicious roasted Cornish hens. Available Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 3pm.

Alfresco Dining

Set within a tropical garden, The Frangipani@Dempsey is a bistro bar offering fusion Indian cuisine. Whether you sit in the open-air terraces or dine indoors, you can indulge in signature dishes such as Peshwari lamb chops grilled to perfection, and the popular mini naan served with duck (Roti Pe Poti). The well-stocked bar offers a wide range of drinks, including innovative cocktails like the Gimme Hendricks, Frangipani’s Inspiration and Colorful Garden, along with a premium selection of whisky, wine and more.
