Hosting a holiday celebration at home? Make it easy on yourself and skip the cooking! You can personalise and pre-order your entire Christmas dinner menu online – everything from ready cooked turkeys, homemade bread, artisan cheeses, salads and soups, sides, log cakes, chocolate, wine and gift hampers, all ready to go. Whether you’re entertaining meat-lovers or vegans, there’s something for everyone. Here are some of our top takeaway picks for a stress-free feast here in Singapore.
The classic: Whole roasted Tom turkey
Of course, you just can’t beat a traditional turkey for Christmas dinner. Grand Hyatt Singapore’s ready cooked turkey ($150/4.5kg) is marinated with root vegetables, thyme and butter, and finished with freshly made cranberry sauce that’s infused with cloves, orange and red wine for a juicy and tangy taste. Though it already comes with gravy and a mulled wine cranberry sauce, no turkey dinner would be complete without a side of stuffing! Grand Hyatt Singapore’s brioche, apricot and chestnut stuffing ($18) is a total winner. Throw in some veggie sides like maple-glazed heirloom carrots ($16) and roasted Brussels sprouts ($18) with pancetta, and you’ve got yourself one fab feast.
But, first, start with sustainable Spencer Gulf king prawns with cocktail sauce ($48/12 pieces). Or, serve 24 months-aged Parma ham with freshly cut rock melon ($40) – a fun combo guests will go nuts over.
Plant-based pick: Impossible meat loaf
Having this meatless loaf on the table alongside your other mains will ensure that all your guests are well catered for. From vegans and vegetarians to meat-eaters who simply enjoy the taste of Impossible “meat”, this plant-based ready cooked meat loaf ($69/750g) is sure to be a hit. It’s available from Grand Hyatt Singapore’s online Santa Shop, and comes with a delicious vegetable gravy. Pair it with a side of vegan-friendly, roasted button mushrooms with thyme and garlic ($16) or organic mixed vegetables ($16).
New spin on tradition: Slow-roasted Australian rib-eye
Served with rich truffle gravy, you really can’t go wrong with this hearty Cape Grim rib-eye for a Christmas treat. Available as a single chop ($98/1.2kg) or double chop ($188/2.4kg), this bone-in, grass-fed rib-eye will undoubtedly taste even more delicious with sides of roasted potatoes with sea salt and sage ($14), and baked four-cheese, truffle macaroni and cheese ($18) to round off the dinner – yum!
Don’t forget dessert!
Whatever you do, don’t forget the festive sweets! Grand Hyatt Singapore’s got plenty of those, too. On our must-serve list is the bergamot and white chocolate Christmas log cake ($72) that’s rich with a tangy twist, and the red velvet cake ($72) decorated with festive reindeer. If you’ve got vegan party guests, surprise them with the rich and fudgey vegan chocolate brownies ($72)!
