Having recently moved to a much larger 13,100-square-foot space, Huber’s Butchery is bigger and better than ever. And, it’s not just the sleek, new space that customers love. The family-run shop, focused on convenience and personalised service, boasts a vast selection of gourmet groceries and top quality meats. Here’s a look at what you can expect from the new and improved butchery.
Visiting Huber’s Butchery isn’t merely a shopping trip to buy some slabs of meat but rather, an all-encompassing foodie experience that starts the moment you enter at the shop’s second level. Here, you’ll find cold cuts as well as homemade sausages, created with only the finest ingredients and natural casings – in fact, none of the raw sausages found at Huber’s contain any added preservatives, chemicals, MSG, additives or fillers. And, more than 90 percent of all meat and meat products sold at Huber’s is growth hormone-free. Additionally, since Huber’s is dedicated to ensuring the utmost safety and health of its customers, relevant items are clearly labelled “growth-hormone free” or “gluten-free” to avoid any possible confusion.
Huber’s also guarantees that its customers are getting top quality meat products by importing directly from the best farms worldwide. This not only allows for superb quality control, but also creates great savings for customers by cutting out the “middle man”.
The same goes for Huber’s vast selection of cheeses. There are over 100 types to choose from, imported directly from cheesemakers around the globe including Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, the UK, Italy, Spain and Australia. Customers can even create and order their own cheese platters with one day’s notice, or rent a raclette machine (great for parties!) for a small fee. Accoutrements like crackers, bread sticks, jams and dips are on hand to go with the cheeses, too.
Once all cheese choices have been made, customers can head downstairs to find all kinds of fresh meats, which can be smothered in any house marinade for free. Customers can also choose to have cuts of meat dry-aged in the company’s special dry-ageing chiller. And the personalised service doesn’t stop there. Not only do Huber’s butchers remember customers’ preferences, but also they’re happy to answer questions, discuss recipes, and offer meat and cooking tips as they portion meat à la minute.
Also downstairs, customers can find a selection of fresh, air-flown produce and more gourmet groceries – from wine, craft beer and liquor to freshly baked breads and imported sweets, pastas and spices, it’s a one-stop-shop for all your foodie needs; there’s even a “BBQ corner” with all the essentials, from charcoal and tongs to all kinds of salts and rubs.
Once you’ve paid, the experience doesn’t have to stop there. With an outdoor playground and the Huber’s Bistro on the ground floor, kids can play while their grown-ups enjoy beer, sandwiches, soups, salads and sausages, and mains like US prime sirloin steak or a beef burger with bacon and gruyere cheese. Check out the menu here.
The bistro serves lunch and dinner until 10pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and breakfast on weekends; basically, the bistro’s got your mealtime needs covered!
But, if you’re pressed for time, simply order your meat and groceries online, and pick up from the store (did we mention there’s free parking?) – or, you can opt for convenient home delivery; though that would mean you’d miss out on sampling the delicious meats in store (and cheese, if it’s a weekend!).
With service and selection this good, why go anywhere else?
