If you’re hunting for good food in Telok Ayer or need a satisfying lunch in the CBD (maybe a kebab and an ice-cold beer?), the latest addition to the German bier bar family is worth checking out. The brand-new Brotzeit Stanley Street restaurant in Telok Ayer comes with a fresh twist. This cosy CBD spot with 50 seats, a street-food-inspired menu, and a relaxed, intimate vibe, feels more like a quick trip to Munich – complete with all the gemütlichkeit (aka that warm, fuzzy feeling of Bavarian hospitality) you’d expect.
Iconic dishes and drinks at this new Stanley Street restaurant
Stanley Street is the only Brotzeit where you’ll find their take on the iconic 1972 Döner Kebab – a nostalgic nod to Berlin’s street food culture. Made with juicy chicken, garlic yoghurt and a tomato chilli sauce, you’ll find it stuffed in flatbreads, scattered over fries, or served in a carb-free bowl. And while the menu’s got plenty of meaty crowd-pleasers, vegetarians haven’t been forgotten – the quinoa-kale salad and buttery spinach dumplings are proper meals, not token plant-based picks. And for dessert? Try the Brezn Churros at this restaurant in Telok Ayer.
Alongside these new additions, you’ll still find Brotzeit’s signature favourites – crispy pork knuckles, fried schnitzels and handcrafted German sausages. The focus is on fresh, seasonal ingredients, including white asparagus and wild garlic (Bärlauch), available only until 15 June 2025.
The drinks list? Expect Brotzeit’s classic line-up of German draught beers, from Warsteiner to Köstritzer, plus $12.50 all-day Happy Hour deals during the week. Not in a beer mood? Try a low-alcohol cocktail or sip on childhood fave “Spezi” — that fizzy cola-orange soda combo – served with the lunch menu.
This Stanley Street restaurant is the kind of place that works for a chilled midweek lunch, a post-work pint, or a weekend bite with the kids. And with its prime location just a short stroll from Telok Ayer MRT, it’s equally convenient and cool.
