This elegant, intimate Keong Saik restaurant is offering a special menu throughout November and December, inspired by seasonal flavours. Book the classy Chef’s Table for eight and your party will savour a close-up view of the culinary team in action. On the menu is 72-hour short rib, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish and burnt onion and Cure Christmas pudding paired with Connemara whiskey ice cream. Please, cure us!

Let the kids run wild at Open Farm’s green outdoor space, and enjoy a lazy pre-Christmas brunch. Adults will love the unusual flavours on offer including 63 degree eggs in the shell served with toasted sourdough, fresh ricotta cheese, baked beans, stir fried chilli beef rib eye and spring onions or the cured ocean trout savoury crepe served with Mexican tarragon cream cheese, rough guacamole and quail eggs. Most little one’s will eat up the buttermilk pancake with mascarpone ice cream, homemade granola and mixed berry sauce.

No Xmas plans yet? Celebrate with family or orphaned expat pals at this cosy Italian ristorante. Served up on 24-25 December, their Christmas menu includes moreish antipasto to share, signature carbonara with shaved black truffles, Maine lobster tagliolini aglio olio; a selection of mouth-watering meats and fish and a dessert plate to clash spoons over including pannetone, cannoli and chocolate cassata.

Gather a group and tuck into a rib-sticking Habsburg Empire feast at this inviting café-restaurant-bar at the refurbed Capitol Theatre.
