Birthday cakes in Singapore – from chocolate cakes to fudgy brownies!
Lucia Brownies for bite-sized brownies
Looking for an alternative to a traditional birthday cake? Lucia’s brownies might be just the thing. These handcrafted treats come in bite-sized pieces, so they’re easy to share – no slicing needed – and can be customised with fondant birthday messages and candles for that celebratory touch.
Each box includes up to four flavours – such as triple chocolate, oreo, salted caramel and biscoff swirls – so there’s something for everyone, and the texture hits the sweet spot: crackly tops with a fudgy centre. Baked daily in small batches using only fresh, preservative-free ingredients, Lucia’s brownies are available in three sizes, from a 16-piece box ($22 to $25) to a 36-piece box ($43 to $45) and a party-ready 64-piece option ($78 to $80).
They hold up well at room temperature for two to three days and can be preordered online for delivery or picked up from either of their two outlets.
Special offer for EL readers: Enjoy five percent off all regular-priced online orders using code “ELXLUCIA5” – no expiry date, too.

Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel’s lobby deli has launched a new line-up of bakes that ranges from elegant whole chocolate cakes to delicate petites and nostalgic pound loaves – all handmade in-house.
Try the bestselling Signature Chocolate Earl Grey Cake with its layers of dark chocolate mousse, Earl Grey crèmeux and a feuilletine base. Then there’s the Black Forest, reimagined with brandied cherries, chocolate crèmeux and vanilla chantilly, and the light and boozy Tiramisu with mascarpone mousse and a hit of Kahlua.

Tropical notes come through in the Mango Coconut Cake, topped with fresh fruit and a jelly glaze. For something floral, the Pink Rose Strawberry Cake blends rose mousse and strawberry compote, and the Matcha Yuzu Cheesecake delivers with its biscoff crust.
Petite versions – including strawberry rose, coffee gateau, blueberry cheesecake and matcha yuzu tart – are ideal for smaller gatherings or as part of a dessert spread. And the new pound cake selection features chocolate banana, lemon, matcha and carrot walnut, perfect for gifting or tea.
Cakes are available to pre-order from celebratorydelights.com or in person at Java+, with prices starting from $10 for petites, $22 for pound cakes and $41 for whole cakes. Orders require three days’ notice.
