Indulge in thoughtful and produce-driven dishes while feasting your eyes on cntemporary art exhibits that support young artists and creatives. There’s also a showcase of carefully sourced gourmet brands from Singapore and around the region with the aim of giving back.
The menu consists of a vegetable-forward selection and cafe-style fare. In its vegetable-forward cuisine, the humble vegetable takes centrestage with dishes such as the umami-laden Japanese Eggplant, coated with shio kombu before being baked till caramelised and balanced off with honey yoghurt. Another highlight is the Peckham Pear & Crispy Chickpea: a refreshing salad of compressed pear, endive, radicchio, local arugula, deep-fried chickpeas drizzled over with a piquant lemon dressing.
Da Paolo has introduced some delicious artisanal cakes in store. Along with the Martinelli Cake, which is made with almonds and carrots and infused with Florentine Alchermes liqueur to give it a bright red hue, there’s a range of Bria cakes by Bonci that are naturally leavened, fluffy and infused with liqueur. They’re the perfect end to your dinner party, or to give as a gift! The four available flavours are Cherry & White Chocolate, Orange Blossom, Rum & Dark Chocolate and Peach & Wine.
Plain Vanilla Bakery
March marks the beginning of an eco-conscious partnership between Plain Vanilla Bakery and Muuse, a reusable cup-sharing programme originating in Bali. On offer are reusable cups in two sizes that can be used for any takeaway beverage order at Plain Vanilla. Once you’re done with your drink, just drop the empty cup off at any of their partner cafés.
